  • Helping to develop innovative empirical approaches for tracking soil charge balance and enhanced weathering rates in ongoing field trials.

  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain laboratory exercises and equipment for the introductory "Habitable Planet" course (EAS 1601).
  • Supervise and train teaching assistants for "Habitable Planet" course (EAS 1601) each semester.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidates will have experience in the following:

  • Strong organizational, management, and leadership skills (e.g., hosting TA meetings, addressing challenging lab student scenarios, and timely replies to emails).
  • Ability to develop and teach quantitatively and computationally intensive meteorology and atmospheric sciences content, in particular topics that pertain to one or more of the following undergraduate courses: EAS 2551 Introduction to Meteorological Analysis, EAS 4440 Mesoscale Meteorology, EAS 4450 Synoptic Meteorology, EAS 4460 Satellite and Radar Meteorology, EAS 4655 Atmospheric Dynamics, EAS 4656 Atmospheric Dynamics Lab, EAS 4670 Atmospheric Dynamics II (see undergraduate-courses for current syllabi).
  • Experience and/or training in implementation of high impact teaching practices.
  • Experience using Canvas or equivalent course website software.

The School of Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) () at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA, U.S.A. invites applications for multiple openings for the position of Assistant Professor (tenure-track); openings for Associate Professor and Professor (tenured or tenure-track) are also available. All positions are full-time and are located in Atlanta, GA, U.S.A. The School of CSE focuses on foundational research of an interdisciplinary nature that enables advances in science, engineering, medical, and social domains. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students.



Responsibilities

Duties of these positions include developing and sustaining a research program in one or more of our core areas (research) high-performance computing, data science and visual analytics, scientific computing and simulation, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and computational bioscience and biomedicine.

We also welcome candidates in the area of AI and finance, with the opportunity to be considered for the JPMorgan Chase Endowed Career Development Professorship.

Duties also include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses (classroom teaching), as well as providing service to the School, College and the Institute.



Required Qualifications

An earned PhD degree is required by the start date of the job, in a discipline relevant to the field of Computational Science and Engineering, including a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Science.



Preferred Qualifications

Applicants are expected to engage in substantive research with collaborators in other disciplines. For example, current faculty have domain expertise and/or collaborations in computational chemistry; earth sciences; biomedical and health sciences; urban systems and smart cities; social good and sustainable development; materials and manufacturing; and others.

The School of CSE focuses on foundational research of an interdisciplinary nature that enables advances in science, engineering, medical, and social domains. Responsibilities

Duties of these positions include developing and sustaining a research program in one or more of our core areas (research) high-performance computing, data science and visual analytics, scientific computing and simulation, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and computational bioscience and biomedicine. Duties also include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses (classroom teaching), as well as providing service to the School, College and the Institute.



Required Qualifications

An earned PhD degree is required by the start date of the job, in a discipline relevant to the field of Computational Science and Engineering, including a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Science.



Preferred Qualifications

Applicants are expected to engage in substantive research with collaborators in other disciplines. For example, current faculty have domain expertise and/or collaborations in computational chemistry; earth sciences; biomedical and health sciences; urban systems and smart cities; social good and sustainable development; materials and manufacturing; and others.

Job Summary

The Spatial Ecology & Paleontology Lab at Georgia Tech would like to invite applicants for a postdoctoral position. We are seeking a new member of our research community to be jointly supervised by Jenny McGuire (Georgia Tech) This postdoctoral research associate would join a vibrant team of international researchers investigating global change ecology.

  2. Mentorship and research facilitation of graduate students examining the effects of arid conditions various aspects of taxonomic variety of fossils from South Appalachians.
  3. Participation in a large international collaboration examining trait-environment relationships.
  4. Participation in research and collaborate with internal and external partners to assess how diverse adaptation strategies such as habitat connectivity, restoration, urban planning practices, and regional partnerships can mitigate biodiversity loss and promote resilience across Georgia and beyond

A leading national engineering and construction organization specializing in complex mechanical and electrical systems is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale building systems projects. This role will oversee project execution, client relationships, and financial performance while working closely with field operations and engineering teams.

This position focuses on managing complex MEP construction projects across sectors such as healthcare, higher education, advanced manufacturing, life sciences, semiconductor, and mission-critical facilities. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical coordination, and project management expertise to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership

  • Provide overall leadership for complex mechanical and electrical construction projects.
  • Partner with project teams, field leadership, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
  • Evaluate project scope and analyze construction methods, materials, and alternatives to identify optimal project strategies.
  • Plan, organize, and staff project teams in collaboration with regional leadership and operational departments.
  • Coordinate with field supervision and fabrication teams to evaluate prefabrication opportunities and improve project efficiency.

Project Planning & Execution

  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards aligned with organizational best practices.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and manage subcontract agreements.
  • Develop and maintain master project schedules, including progress tracking and variance reporting.
  • Monitor construction progress through coordination with field leadership to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.

Financial & Risk Management

  • Oversee project financial performance including cost management, billings, and collections.
  • Maintain strong client relationships while ensuring project profitability and positive cash flow.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies when necessary.
  • Evaluate technical and coordination challenges and implement solutions to maintain project momentum.
  • Identify and pursue additional project opportunities including change orders and scope enhancements.

Team Development

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to project managers and assistant project managers when assigned.
  • Support professional development within the project team.
  • Maintain strong documentation and project controls in accordance with contract requirements and internal standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of construction management experience supporting mechanical or electrical building systems projects
  • Strong leadership and team coordination abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project planning capabilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software
  • Ability to learn and adopt new systems and technologies
  • OSHA-30 certification preferred (or ability to obtain shortly after hire)
  • Professional, proactive, and collaborative approach to working with clients and project teams
