The Role
The Director of Strategy and Operations will partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to guide strategic planning, project management, and cross-functional alignment across the company. Key Responsibilities:
Operations Leadership

- Supervise and support the Office Manager in the day-to-day administration of the Foundation’s physical office including office maintenance, vendor coordination, and share space management, and serve as a backup or point of escalation when needed to ensure continuity of operations
- Oversee office infrastructure and equipment, partnering with IT consultants to ensure systems are current, secure, fully functional and supportive of the Foundation’s core work and staff needs
- Maintain, ensure, and implement office procedures, safety protocols, emergency response plans, and up-to-date physical security systems
- Oversee logistics and quality control for internal and vendor-supported events, supervising event staff as appropriate and ensuring cultural and mission focused details are addressed
Compliance & Risk Management
- Monitor and manage organizational compliance requirements, including IRS filings, state registrations, and charitable filings in service of the Foundation’s integrity and accountability
- Maintain lay governance documents such as bylaws, meeting minutes, and board policies
- Coordinate annual compliance processes, including D&O insurance renewals
- Support risk mitigation efforts across all operational areas, identifying and addressing potential vulnerabilities
- Ensure adherence to document retention, archiving protocols, and internal control policies
Qualifications

In addition to supply ownership, this role serves as a senior operational leader across the company, helping shape strategy, improve operating discipline, identify new revenue opportunities, and drive cross-functional execution.
This is a highly hands-on role. You will not rely on others to surface insights. You must be comfortable pulling your own data, building analyses, identifying trends, and implementing automation that improves operational performance.
Beyond operational excellence, this role will identify and test new ways to monetize the marketplace, improve unit economics, and unlock additional revenue streams tied to our worker network and client relationships.
Success in the first year will include improving worker activation and utilization, strengthening supply reliability across markets, and launching monetization initiatives that improve marketplace economics.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities/Workload
Stakeholder Engagement & Customer Contact
- Act as the main point of contact between Contractors and customers, facilitating communication, resolving access issues, and coordinating inspection appointments.
- Document and manage customer access challenges, handle notifications and permissions, and ensure all necessary approvals and communications are properly collected and tracked.
- Utilize Customer Contact Information (CCI) to proactively schedule inspections, reducing unnecessary field visits and increasing operational efficiency.
- Maintain and prioritize records of inspection constraints, support process improvements for access management, and track performance using relevant reporting tools.
Constraint Tracking and Exception Processing
- Mapping - Create .kmz and spatial joins in Excel to determine potential access issues related to CROPS, Government Lands, etc.
- Create work orders for released access issues and send them to vendors with notes regarding appointments, gate codes, special instructions, contact info, etc.
- Tracking and oversight of constrained inspections to actively mitigate the potential for non-compliant inspections and not meeting risk mitigation commitment.
- Assist in development and monitoring of data management tools to provide more timely and accurate status reporting to management.
- Identify follow-up actions required by various stakeholders in the inspection workflow.
