Job Summary

Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care of residents within the skilled nursing setting. Responsible for ensuring continuity of care of the residents between shifts by providing direct care as well as supervising the care given by CNA’s, LPN’s and supportive staff members. Participates in resident and family teaching/conferences. Maintains role as resident advocate with a focus on the facility’s mission.

Core Job Responsibilities
  • Assesses residents on admission, readmission as well as when condition changes. Documents appropriately including medical record.
  • Notifies physician of changes in resident’s condition and follows through until appropriate action is taken.
  • Gives a thorough report to oncoming shift and participates in walking rounds.
  • Assess and reassess pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the resident and family regarding pain management.
  • Performs all aspects of resident care in an environment that optimizes resident safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors. Supervises nursing staff to promote this.
  • Implements plan of care for the resident based on assessments and goals as established by the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Supervises and redirects other members of the healthcare team, as needed, to accomplish the Plan of Care which has been developed.
  • Reviews staffing for own shift and upcoming shifts, takes action to obtain adequate staffing.
  • Administers medications, following the five medication rights and reduces the potential for medication errors.
  • Functions as a leader for the CNA’s and LPN’s by delegating in a manner that contributes to the excellence of the nursing department and maximizes teamwork.
     
Education/Experience Requirements

Required: Two years experience in a medical/surgical or nursing home. One year experience in a supervisory capacity.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

Preferred: Registered Nurse licensure in NYS/BSN or related degree preferred.

Baptist Health Urgent Care is looking for experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Techs to join our team in Conway, AR.


JOB SUMMARY:
This position will perform x-ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Operates diagnostic equipment, develops film and prepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure, as well as perform Medical Assistant duties.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned.
• Promptly greets patients when entering waiting area, exam room, and laboratory or x-ray room
• Consistently communicates with patients on wait times; provides direction to the next step in the treatment process
• Provides solutions to patient problems and recognizes and seeks help in emergent/hazardous situations
• Executes follow-up calls with a sense of urgency
• Assist front desk personnel with patient check in/out procedures when necessary
• Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and weight, takes brief history, past medical, family and social history current medications, allergies and other pertinent historical information as appropriate
• Assists with patient transfers
• Assists with procedures directly supervised by the provider
• Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit
• Performs timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician
• Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed
• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and follows established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care; including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques
• Ensures that equipment is in proper working order and reports any malfunctions to the Manager or provider on duty
• Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit
• Assumes responsibility for maintaining and improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with the support and assistance of outside educational resources
• Responsible for maintaining current licensure and certification for the facility radiology equipment and licensure


WHAT'S THE SCHEDULE?
Full-time team members work a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend.  Our PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as-needed basis.  


WHAT'S REQUIRED?

• BLS Certification
• AR State X-Ray License
• ARRT Certification preferred
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred
