The Access Control Associate is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by operating electronic screening devices, monitoring employee and guest access points, and ensuring compliance with park safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
β’ Operate walk-through screening devices, x-ray equipment, handheld wands, and other equipment to screen guests and employees.
β’ Monitor fixed security posts including guest and team member entry/exit points and parking areas.
β’ Verify employee credentials and ensure proper access control at designated entry points.
β’ Maintain consistent attendance and adhere to posted schedules.
β’ Communicate clearly and professionally with guests, team members, and management via in-person interactions, phone, and portable radio.
β’ Collaborate effectively with fellow officers, park staff, and management.
β’ Complete detailed and accurate reports and documentation in accordance with departmental procedures.
β’ Assist with general cleaning and upkeep of assigned areas as needed or directed.
β’ Perform duties in outdoor environments, including exposure to direct sunlight, wet/humid conditions, extreme heat, and cold for extended periods.
β’ Carry out responsibilities independently with minimal direct supervision.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; must be outgoing, approachable, and guest-focused.
- Proficient in Englishβspeaking, reading, writing, and understanding.
- Comfortable using and communicating via phone and portable radio.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to work around metal detectors and x-ray screening equipment.
- Must be able to work in outdoor weather conditions for prolonged periods.
- Reliable transportation to and from the Park is required.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak season (Memorial Day to Labor Day).
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, ability to multitask, and capacity to manage moderate stress levels.
This Hospitalist program was created in 2011 and continues to grow to meet the needs of referring physicians.
This position would be all day shifts working 7 am to 7 pm.
The program is supplemented with nurse practitioners and physician assistants to extend the expedience of care.

- Provide cash handling service to casino patrons in your assigned areas of Casino Floor.
- Responsible for assigned casino funds and proper handling of funds exchanges.
- Respond to change lights on slot machines, service calls from Dispatch and help all customers needing change or other assistance.
- Notify the appropriate Ameristar staff members to render assistance outside the scope of your responsibilities.
- Ensure that the slot machines are operating properly, and all procedures are executed according to company policy.
- Perform minor slot machine repairs not requiring a Slot Technician.
