- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in adherence to nursing standards

- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, assist physicians during treatments, and monitor patient responses
- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients recovering from medical conditions or surgical procedures

- Depending upon department, may facilitate bankruptcy memorandum routing process.
- Create, post, and remove signs/notices to direct customers to meeting rooms. Coordinate efforts with departments when large groups of people are present for meetings, testing and interviewing.
- Keep copy area and printing stations clean, neat and stocked with paper and office supplies. Call for copier maintenance and supplies when needed.
- Maintain a supply of forms at the front counter.
- Depending upon department, may update code and comprehensive plan books or other pertinent documents.
- Depending upon department, may assist in supporting boards and commissions. This includes contacting members of various boards and commissions when needed to establish availability and provide reminders of meetings. Orders meals for meetings as needed.
- Depending upon department, may scan and attach electronic documents to permit tracking system.

Peripheral Responsibilities:
- As appropriate, assist with requests for copies by general public.
- Receive incoming shipments and miscellaneous deliveries.
- Maintain customer pickup basket and call customers if items are not picked up.
- Provide backup telephone/reception coverage to other departments.

Minimum Qualifications:

Weekend Track Hospice RN Capital Region
The Community Hospice has a wonderful opportunity for a Weekend Track RN to work as part of our Hospice Team caring for patients and families residing in the Capital Region.
Workdays only Every Saturday&Sunday 8a-8p - no hours required during the week once trained

What you will do:
- As a Weekend Track RN, you will provide compassionate end-of-life care and symptom management to patients in their homes or facilities during weekend hours.
- This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while working closely with an interdisciplinary team that includes RNs, LPNs, aides, physicians, social workers, chaplains, complementary therapists, and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visit patients in homes, assisted living, nursing facilities, and inpatient settings.
- Deliver symptom management and emotional support to patients and families.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
What you will need:
- Valid NYS RN license
- Associate’s degree in nursing
- 1 year RN experience required- preferably in home care or acute care
- Previous hospice experience preferred but NOT required.
- Flexibility to travel across county borders as needed.
- Ability to navigate through several EMR platforms
- Good communication skills.
- Valid driver license in good standing and reliable vehicle
Community Hospice provides a thorough orientation, preceptors and a supportive work environment. Training provided in end of life care.
SUPPORTED BY A HOSPICE RN SUPERVISOR in the office 8am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday and an OnCall RN Supervisor after hours, so assistance and guidance is only a phone call away!

Pay Range: $38.00-$50.18 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
