DEFINITION OF POSITION:

The Interventional Radiology/Cardiology Radiologic Technologist supports diagnostic and interventional procedures through expert operation of fluoroscopic imaging equipment, sterile technique, and procedural workflow coordination. This role works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. The technologist demonstrates advanced technical competence in procedural imaging, radiation safety, sterile field maintenance, and hemodynamic monitoring while adhering to departmental protocols and regulatory standards. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
