In this position, you will be a part of a team offering community building events for the public to enjoy throughout the year, such as movie nights, festivals, cultural celebrations, and the City's 4th of July parade.

The role of the Recreation Lead is to provide outstanding customer service and operational support to recreation programs, facilities, and events within Parks and Community Services. Recreation Leads serve as the on-site City representative and may work at City facilities, athletic fields, school gymnasiums, City parks, and/or off-site program locations. Recreation Leads provide operational support including preparing spaces, leading and monitoring activities, and performing clerical work, and training and leading staff. Recreation Leads may work without on-site supervision.

Recreation Lead may be assigned to:

  • Programs, such as youth or adult sports.
  • Facilities, such as North Kirkland Community Center, Peter Kirk Community Center, City Hall, or Heritage Hall.
  • Events, such as festivals or special events taking place in Kirkland parks or City facilities.

This recruitment is specifically for Recreation Leads who will support City-sponsored events taking place in Kirkland Parks or City facilities. Recreation Leads assigned to events will be responsible for set-up, operation, and tear-down of the City's trailered LED screen during moves in the park.

Set-up and tear-down of the LED screen includes operating a generator and a hydraulic lift, using hand tools, connecting data cables, and standing on a ladder.
Operations of the LED screen involves running its audio and video equipment, including DVD or computer media, microphones, FM transmitter and other equipment, as well as conducting sound checks, providing technical support, and troubleshooting. Training will be provided.

Recreations Leads will also perform general event duties such as set-up and tear-down of event tents, tables, chairs, etc., in addition to leading event activities and providing on-site assistance to event attendees, volunteers, and other staff. Recreation Leads may also provide access control and crowd management at high-attendance events.

Distinguishing Characteristics: The Recreation Lead oversees programs, facilities, and events that the Recreation Attendant assists with. This position reports to Program Coordinators and/or Recreation Supervisors.

Desk assignments are done at a computer terminal.

Hours of Work:
This is a year-round, part-time, non-benefitte3d position. Hours will vary week by week but are anticipated to be 10 to 40 hours per month. Events are scheduled nearly each month of the year, typically on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, including evening shifts. Recreation Leads may be asked to participate in event planning meetings or preparation, which may be done during the City's typical business hours of Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm or on a flexible schedule. Additional shifts may be available in the summer months.

Vertiv is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team and focus on the design, development, and validation of Static Transfer Switch (STS) and Power Distribution Unit (PDU) 3-phase power products. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of electrical systems, including industry standards, controls and monitoring systems, circuit breaker specifications, and system performance. The engineer will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet customer requirements and perform reliably in the field.

This position will be based onsite at our Delaware, OH facility.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of STS and PDU 3-phase power products, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards (UL, IEC, NEC, etc.) and customer specifications.
  • Work closely with product mangers and project engineers to understand technical requirements and translate them into detailed engineering specifications.
  • Specify site planning data, including power distribution layouts, cable sizing, and environmental considerations to ensure successful product integration.
  • Specify circuit breakers and develop circuit breaker coordination schemes to optimize protection and reliability in power distribution systems.
  • Develop control system designs and schematics by integrating Vertiv’s digital and analog controls for monitoring and managing power distribution systems.
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate the thermal performance, electromagnetic interference (EMI), metering and controls accuracy/performance, and withstand fault performance of the STS and PDU units.
  • Ensure that all designs and implementations adhere to the latest industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and schematics. Review and provide feedback for user manuals and other customer facing documentation.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, firmware developers, and manufacturing teams, to ensure the seamless integration and deployment of products.
  • Identify areas requiring process improvement or documentation. Work with management to execute improvements.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's Degree a plus

  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems with minimal guidance.
  • Experience with 3 phase power and conversion/conditioning products preferred, but not required.

The Role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering inputs integral to both small and large scale hydro projects. Northrop Grumman is seeking experienced structure aircraft mechanics to support a maintenance program with Northrop Grumman in Lake Charles, LA.

The Navy E-6 is an airborne command post and communications relay based on the Boeing 707 platform The aircraft are utilized primarily for long-range patrols along the entire U.S. border, and in source and transit zone countries. This platform, now modified to the E-6B standard, conveys instructions from the National Command Authority to fleet ballistic missile submarines, a mission known as TACAMO ("Take Charge And Move Out").

Your duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures, structural components and engines of complex to extreme difficulty

  • Reads and interprets manufacturers' and airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components

  • Have a broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair

  • Possess detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc. is required.

  • Possess the experience and ability to provide technical support to structural/mechanical engineers and customers alike

  • Be able to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, written instructions, etc.

  • Applies professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufactures' manuals.

Job duties may also require that this mechanic:

  • Use your thoroughly comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components, a thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems.

  • Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories.

  • Performs 100-hour, progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar inspections, examines reciprocating engines for cracked cylinders and oil leaks, and listens to operating engine to detect and diagnose malfunctions, such as sticking or burnt valves, inspects jet engines and components for cracks, corrosion, foreign object damage, burned areas, distortions, security, warping, wear, and missing segments.

  • Inspects jet engine turbine blades to detect cracks, distortion, corrosion, burn-out, security, or breaks, tests engine operation, using testing equipment, such as ignition analyzer, compression checker, distributor timer, ammeter, and jet calibration (Jetcal) tester, to locate source of malfunction.

  • Maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.

  • Performs preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections.

  • Maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components, and applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation.

  • Performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens and filters, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes.

  • Use your thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts.

  • Use your basic knowledge of electrical theory.

  • Use a variety of manual hand tools such as crimpers, strippers, wire cutters, heat shrink gun, etc.
