What youβll achieve
We are seeking a Senior Solutions Architect (SA) specializing in Data CenterΒ Liquid Cooling, with emphasis on rearβdoor heat exchangers (RDHx)Β and cooling distribution units (CDUs). This is a new capability within our organization, and you will serve as our primary expert in liquidβbased thermal solutions for highβdensity compute environments.
In this postβsales architecture role, you will work directly with customers to understand their requirements, design full liquid cooling solutions, support field teams during deployments, and help shape our internal best practices around liquid cooling technologies.
You will:
Customer Engagement & PostβSales Architecture
Lead technical discovery sessions with customers to gather thermal, environmental, mechanical, and operational requirements
Design endβtoβend liquid cooling solutions featuring rearβdoor heat exchangers, CDUs, manifolds, hoses, fittings, and facility water loop considerations
Produce detailed solution designs including schematics, BOMs, system flow diagrams, thermal performance expectations, and installation guidelines
Translate customer requirements into scalable, supportable, and reliable architectures
Deployment & Field Support
Support field engineering teams during installation, commissioning, and validation of RDHx and CDU systems
Provide technical oversight on-site or remotely, ensuring the deployed system aligns with the approved design
Troubleshoot flow rates, pressure drops, temperature deltas, coolant quality, sensor behavior, and CDU operational parameters
Assist with acceptance testing, monitoring configurations, and integration with facility cooling infrastructure
Internal SME & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as the internal authority on liquid cooling within engineering, operations, sales, and product
Develop internal documentation: reference architectures, best practices, safety guidelines, and deployment playbooks
Train field teams and adjacent groups unfamiliar with liquid cooling practices
Collaborate with OEMs and vendors to stay aligned with the latest RDHx and CDU technologies
Practice Development
Define standards and repeatable processes for liquid cooling implementations.
Contribute to service offerings that support deployment, maintenance, and ongoing optimization of liquid cooling systems
Help shape long-term strategy and roadmap as our liquid cooling practice grows

Essential Requirements
7+ yearsΒ in data center infrastructure, solutions architecture, mechanical/thermal engineering, or HPC environments
Hands-on experienceΒ with: Rear-door heat exchangers (enclosed or active systems)
Cooling Distribution Units (CDUs), Secondary Fluids Network (SFN) design and fabrication
Coolant loop design, manifolds, flexible hose routing, connectors, dripβless fittings, sensors, etc.
Rack and system level liquid cooling technologies, including multiple cooling loops, and direct-to-chip cooling
Strong understanding of: Heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics
Facility water loops and integration points
Flow balancing, deltaβT analysis, and pump performance curves
Leak detection and safety best practices
Familiarity with data center power/cooling concepts (rack-level thermals, airflow management).
Architecture & Customer-Facing Skills
Experience conducting customer requirement gathering and converting needs into detailed solution architectures
Ability to write clear architectural documentation, diagrams, and BOMs
Comfort supporting deployments handsβon and resolving technical issues in the field

Desirable Requirements
Bachelorβs degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or similar field
Proficiency with Thermal Simulation tools (ANSYS Icepak, FloTHERM, FloEFD, ANSYS Mechanical)
Experience with highβdensity compute environments (AI/ML, HPC, GPU racks)
Data centerβrelated certifications (CDCP, CDCS, DCEP Generalist, DCEP-HVAC SpecialistΒ etc.)
Familiarity with RDHx and CDU vendors such as Vertiv, Schneider Electric, Motivair, Liebert, Rittal, nVent, CoolIT, etc.

Compensation: Dell is committed to Fair and Equitable compensation practices. The Base Salary Range for this role is $170,850 to $ 221,100.

Job Summary
Vertiv is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team and focus on the design, development, and validation of Static Transfer Switch (STS) and Power Distribution Unit (PDU) 3-phase power products. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of electrical systems, including industry standards, controls and monitoring systems, circuit breaker specifications, and system performance. The engineer will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet customer requirements and perform reliably in the field.
This position will be based onsite at our Delaware, OH facility.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of STS and PDU 3-phase power products, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards (UL, IEC, NEC, etc.) and customer specifications.
- Work closely with product mangers and project engineers to understand technical requirements and translate them into detailed engineering specifications.
- Specify site planning data, including power distribution layouts, cable sizing, and environmental considerations to ensure successful product integration.
- Specify circuit breakers and develop circuit breaker coordination schemes to optimize protection and reliability in power distribution systems.
- Develop control system designs and schematics by integrating Vertivβs digital and analog controls for monitoring and managing power distribution systems.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate the thermal performance, electromagnetic interference (EMI), metering and controls accuracy/performance, and withstand fault performance of the STS and PDU units.
- Ensure that all designs and implementations adhere to the latest industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and schematics. Review and provide feedback for user manuals and other customer facing documentation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, firmware developers, and manufacturing teams, to ensure the seamless integration and deployment of products.
- Identify areas requiring process improvement or documentation. Work with management to execute improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelorβs Degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's Degree a plus
- 3 plus years of experience in product development and testing.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems with minimal guidance.
- Experience with 3 phase power and conversion/conditioning products preferred, but not required.
- Understanding of industry standards (UL, IEC, NEC) and their application in product design and development
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to summarize technical data/results quickly for non-technical audiences.
- Mostly sedentary desk work, must be able to occasionally work in a power test lab environment, including lifting objects, running cables, or stepping over/around objects
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Travel as required, domestic and international, 0-10%

Position Summary
The UPS Field Service Engineer will be responsible for commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency support of UPS systems and related power electronics equipment at customer sites. This role is primarily field-based and requires strong technical expertise, independent work ethic, and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
The ideal candidate has hands-on UPS field service experience and holds current Mitsubishi UPS certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform commissioning activities, including design reviews, test procedure development, reporting, and on-site system testing
- Conduct preventive maintenance, emergency service response, equipment startups, and field modifications
- Troubleshoot UPS systems and related equipment down to the component level
- Collaborate with technical support teams to resolve operational and maintenance issues
- Develop and follow detailed Methods of Procedures (MOPs)
- Prepare accurate and timely Field Service Reports
- Provide proactive system improvement recommendations to customers
- Maintain professional, high-quality client interactions
- Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency service calls as needed
- Travel regionally throughout South Florida; occasional national travel may be required
Required Qualifications
- 5-7+ years of UPS field service experience
- Active Mitsubishi UPS certification (required)
- Ability to troubleshoot UPS systems and related equipment to the component level (UPS, batteries, PDUs, STS, etc.)
- Strong understanding of UPS manufacturer specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently from a home-based location
- Ability to meet physical job requirements, including bending and lifting up to 100 lbs when necessary
- Clean driving record
- Willingness to travel regionally and nationally for emergency response situations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with third-party UPS systems such as Emerson/Liebert/Vertiv, APC/MGE/Schneider, Eaton/Powerware/PDI
- Technical degree from an accredited institution

Job Summary
The Program Manager (AC Power) is responsible and accountable for the cross-functional management of new product development and sustaining projects. These projects range in complexity that span functions, organizations, geographic regions, and cultures. The Project Manager coordinates the efforts of engineering, offering management, manufacturing, procurement, quality, order fulfillment, logistics, service, marketing, sales and other cross functional groups to optimize time to market while monitoring project and product cost, schedule and resources. The Project Manager must build credibility, establish rapport, and maintain communication with project stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization, to ensure success of the projects.

Responsibilities:
- Facilitate cross-functional planning and project execution, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets the agreed upon scope
- Monitor team schedules and ensure coordination of activities on the critical path
- Provide executive-level program updates to senior management and executive sponsors

Requirements:

- 5+ years' experience as a Project Manager, preferably in a new product development environment (experience with NPDI)
- Proven ability to lead others to achieve common goals and to accomplish tasks
- Demonstrated competence in problem solving, data analysis, project planning
- Experience leading cross functional meetings and presenting to small groups, both in person and via conference call
- Ability to quickly develop cross functional relationships to achieve business objectives
- Process and results oriented with proven ability to accomplish goals
- Experience with 3-phase power distribution or UPS systems is preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 applications, Microsoft Project, & Smartsheet

- Support the Program Manager as required on ad-hoc requests/issues requiring sales order management.
- Support the Program Manager as required on ad-hoc requests/issues requiring Smartsheet Administration/Configuration.
- Setting up Procore or other designated project management and collaboration system for each project.
- Data Analysis to ensure System information concur with real Manufacturing progress.
- Support the Program Manager in the preparation, design updating and communication of project reports including sourcing up to date Financial KPI information.

- Establish and manage coordinated process for recording manufacturing progress to ensure accurate invoice and revenue recognition.
- Establish effective communication routes with key project reps, Vertiv executives and customer representatives to identify information that is at variance to our plan. Report such information to the Program Manager for resolution/escalation.
- Support the Program Manager in developing a data center standard project life cycle and process for use on future projects.
- Act as a support for Program Managers to identify key project information/records/procedures.
- Ensure that project records are uploaded to the project intranet and designated project management system to ensure good practice is maintained.
- Highlight areas where records are not up to standard.
- Maintain & communicate a regular holiday tracker for the project team, key client representatives and Vertiv executives to support effective planning and coordination of resources.
- Maintaining the workflows and ensuring they are followed where documentation is issued between internal Vertiv departments.
- Coordinate Project Finance based meetings by coordinating meetings and liaising with attendees to ensure presence, advise of meeting clashes to enable resolution.
- Track Cost, Budget, and Revenue for Original, Current and Forecast evaluation on assigned Infrastructure Solutions Projects.
- Identify and Fix Sales Orders Accounting issues.
Required:
- 7-10 years of experience in project, manufacturing, or construction management.
- Bachelorβs degree in business, finance or project management.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint internet-based principles.
- Proficient ERP and/or CRM experience is a bonus
- Smartsheet and PoweBI knowledge is a bonus.
- Demonstrates ability to plan, set priorities, organizes and coordinates work with others.
