Key Responsibilities: Participate in and lead various phases of architectural projects, including design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.

This is a travel assignment with an opportunity to support students in an elementary school environment focused on direct student contact days.

Job Summary
The Georgia Institute of Technologys School of Architecture invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at Associate or Full Professor in the School of Architecture in the area of Architecture and Design Computing. The successful candidate will: First, lead the development of research agendas in this area; second, serve as steward for the Eastman Fund to support doctoral students; and third, work with the School Chair and the Dean in order to reshape the mission of the Digital Building Lab (DBL).
The DBL was created by professor Chuck Eastman to address design computation, data standards and interoperability. Over the years it has housed studies in design and construction automation; project delivery systems; and smart buildings, infrastructure and environments, often working in conjunction with the Digital Fabrication Lab which provides a setting for design-build projects for the faculty and the students. The DBL has also fostered collaborations between the faculty of the School of Architecture, the School of Building Construction and the School of Industrial Design, as well as collaborations with the research labs of the faculty including the Shape Computation Lab (SCL) and the High Performance Buildings Lab. Under professor Chuck Eastman, funding came from both successful research applications and from industry memberships. The partnerships with industry fostered and sustained a link between academic research and advances in practice as well as in research internal to major architecture firms. Now is the time to redefine and revitalize the vision and the mission of the lab, taking into account current developments in artificial intelligence, data-based design decisions, and advanced digital modeling of buildings and their performance.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the successful candidate include securing and conducting funded research, stewarding the future identity and growth of DBL, mentoring early career researchers, advising PhD students, leading the development of forward-looking curricula for the MS Arch and PhD programs, and teaching advanced graduate courses in candidate's area of expertise.
Required Qualifications
Candidate must have a terminal professional degree in Architecture or an allied discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
A strong record of publications on architectural and design computation and/or the development of digital technologies applicable to building design and construction; and a strong track record of sponsored research, industry collaboration, and teaching. A Doctoral Degree is preferred. An interest and ability to relate research to studio teaching is welcome but studio teaching is not a requirement for this position.

About the Architectural Project Manager Position:
The Architectural Project Manager designs innovative architectural residential and commercial solutions for our clients. Duties and Responsibilities
- Design architectural drawings for key redline, material research, submittal, and construction document process reviews using 3D project visualization software
- Develop project requirements to design solutions adhering to Florida zoning specifications
- Manage project construction scheduling deadlines, from concept through completion
- Coordinate with design professionals, engineers, surveyors and architectural technologists to ensure project success
- Address constraining factors such as County or municipality planning, zoning, legislation requirements, environmental impact, and project budget.
- Prepare construction detailed documentation in coordination with multiple disciplines including structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil, etc.
Job requirements:
- Bachelors in architecture or equivalent degree
- Advanced AutoCAD experience
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
- Working understanding of all aspects of engineering and architecture.
- Working knowledge of BIM, Revit a plus.

University of Miami School of Architecture
Remote | Project-Based Engagement (1099)
Overview
A temporary architectural design commission is being offered to one University of Miami School of Architecture graduating senior (Class of 2026) or a 2024–2026 UM graduate.
This opportunity is intended for a technically strong emerging designer who is confident in their drafting ability and ready to take ownership of production-level work.
The selected candidate will participate in the development of a privately commissioned 11.9-acre estate in Central Florida, guided by a defined architectural vision:
Old Dominion Spanish Villa with a Mid-Century reinterpretation.
You will work directly with the Owner/Developer under the mentorship of a University of Miami alumna with significant architectural and construction experience.
One candidate will be selected.
The Estate Program
The project includes:
- Main custom residence (approx. 3,500–4,000 SF)
- 1,200 SF ADU (multi-generational living component)
- 5-stall horse barn
- Estate-scale site planning across 11.9 acres
- Outdoor living environments (courtyard, loggias, pool, outdoor kitchen)
- Integrated small business component within the residence
- Landscape architecture coordination
The design integrates:
- Special needs–conscious planning
- Multi-generational living strategy
- Homesteading and land-use planning
- Healthy home principles (non-LEED)
- Full generator backup planning
- Construction centered on Red Steel framing and CMU block systems
- Efficiency, durability, and buildability
Scope of Engagement
This engagement is structured with defined production hours:
- Schematic Conversion – 15 hours
- Clean, precise translation of provided sketches into scaled CAD drawings.
- Design Development – 25 hours
- Dimensioning, structural logic alignment, coordination, and refinement.
- Construction Documents – 80 hours
Organized, disciplined production of a build-ready drawing set.Total Engagement: 120 hours
Work is remote, with required weekly Microsoft Teams coordination meetings.
Efficiency and accuracy are critical. The project will be executed within defined time parameters.
Technical Expectations
This role requires a true AutoCAD superuser.
Applicants must be able to:
- Draft quickly and accurately without heavy oversight
- Maintain clean layering and drawing standards
- Produce dimensionally disciplined plans
- Organize sheets and drawing sets professionally
- Minimize errors and rework
- Work within tight production windows
This is not a training role. Strong foundational CAD proficiency is required.
