Position Objective:
The Product Development Manager role serves as a link between Design, Production, External Vendors/Mill and Sales/Merchandising. Each season, it is the Product Development Manager’s role to ensure sample yardage development is in line with our cost targets, timeline and brand material needs. Ideal candidate should have a strong sense of apparel construction, material sourcing and cost and clear understanding of development to production calendars. Must have great organizational skills and attention to detail. The Product Development Manager executes and communicates to suppliers/vendors our fabrication needs against the design color palette. Ownership of the fabric sample yardage request, material data sheet management, and communication of our company policies related to fabric.
Responsibilities:
- Manage fabric sample yardage WIP reports daily and keep relevant teams informed of any changes.
- Execute, update and manage the communication of all new fabric and color mini batch inquiries and distribute seasonal color palette.
- Follow through communication with supplier/vendors and overseas office on materials adopted for development (such as sample yardage guidelines, fabric detail sheets, traceability and pattern copyrights).
- Work with design to populate seasonal fabric cards for design boards.
- Distribute confirmed seasonal color palettes internally, overseas office and external supply chains.
- Review all sample yardage cuttings received against color standards. Request lab-dips on any colors not executed correctly on initial sample yardage.
- Work with VP of Fabric to ensure design team has proper fabrics for the season.
- Review all invoices related to sample yardage development at the end of each season.
- PD organization: This includes but is not limited to maintaining sample yardage seasonal binders and boards, tracking and logging in sample yardage references and managing incoming/outgoing color palette distribution.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in apparel product development
- Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge of garment construction required
- Strong skill set in Excel required; experience with PLM preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Pay Range

Position description
The Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley, invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary instructors to work as lecturers, teaching courses in a School that confers professional graduate degrees (MPP, MPA, and MDP) and the PhD degree in Public Policy.
The courses may encompass both core curriculum (Economics, Quantitative Methods, Law & Public Policy, Introduction to Policy Analysis, Advanced Policy Analysis, and Politics & Public Policy); as well as its breadth curriculum (policy applications in specific disciplines and/or specializations, as noted below in Preferred Qualifications). Lecturers may be hired to teach at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, should an opening arise. Please note: The use of a lecturer pool does not guarantee that an open position exists.
The pool will remain open for one calendar year; those interested in remaining in the pool beyond that time must reapply. The number of positions varies from semester to semester, depending on the needs of the school.
Teaching Responsibilities: Primary duties include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses, typically one course per semester.
General Duties: In addition to teaching, duties may include creating a course syllabus for enrolled students; creating midterm examination materials; creating final examinations as necessary; creating problem sets (as appropriate); creating writing assignments; supervising academic student employees (readers, tutors, teaching assistants); holding office hours; assigning grades; preparing course materials; and advising and mentoring graduate or undergraduate students on independent research projects.

We're looking for an experienced and thoughtful Lead Ads Policy Manager to join our Content Product policy team. Our policy team keeps Pinterest a safe, positive and welcoming environment for our 450+ million global users by developing industry-leading content policies. You'll develop policies on generative AI, advise on new product risk, autonomously lead complex projects, and set the strategy for the AI policy function. You'll ensure our product policies are enforceable at scale and build a strong relationship with product teams. You'll seek out feedback from internal stakeholders and external experts and collaborate with our Product, Engineering, Legal, Public Policy, and Communications teams. This role will sometimes involve reviewing graphic and disturbing content and discussing difficult subjects.
What you'll do:
- Collaborate with your Policy teammates, cross-functional partners, executives and outside experts to craft industry-leading generative AI policies to protect Pinners and keep Pinterest safe and inspiring.
- Partner with Trust & Safety, Product, and Engineering teams to embed AI safety best practices in product launches and scale AI policy enforcement globally.
- Anticipate opportunities and advise on risks of new generative AI policies to help keep Pinterest ahead of the next challenge
- Drive regulatory and compliance efforts for content policy matters
- Partner with the leadership team to set strategy for product policies, including how to prioritize among competing demands for our time and expertise, and mentor others
- Continuously evaluate and iterate on our policy approaches
- Evaluate high-profile escalations
- Facilitate and productively engage in complex policy discussions, including respectfully challenging team members and xfn partners, using contrarian techniques to strengthen policy analysis, and incorporating new and diverse viewpoints
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as public policy, research or equivalent experience.
- Substantial experience with AI policy, generative AI systems, trust and safety operations, or policy development for AI-driven products, including drafting guidance for a global audience and managing escalations.
- Strong understanding of global online safety trends, generative AI and LLMs ; can identify and mitigate policy risk areas
- Experience developing and scaling AI policy and enforcement at a global level.
- An autonomous leader with strong writing skills and great verbal communication
- A skilled relationship builder who maintains collaborative partnerships within your team, across the company, and with outside audiences. Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams including Operations, Product, Legal, Public Policy and Comms
- Excellent project management skills and ability to work on multiple projects
- Excellent judgment and critical thinking skills: you can assess numerous inputs, weigh tradeoffs, manage ambiguity, and make difficult decisions
- A thoughtful leader with a demonstrated experience leading complex projects and mentoring others
