Job Summary and Qualifications 

As a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) at HCA Healthcare, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, high-quality care that puts patients first. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing focused nursing care for patients with complex needs by administering medications, managing lines or drains, and assisting with interventions like cardiac monitoring or respiratory support 
• Closely observing patients for subtle changes in status — including shifts in heart rhythm, oxygen levels, or neurological signs — and escalating concerns quickly to support early intervention 
• Documenting timely, accurate updates that help the care team coordinate effectively in a high-acuity environment 
• Helping patients and families understand complex conditions and recovery steps with clarity and comfort
• Working closely with RNs, providers, and specialists to stabilize patients and guide them through the transition from intensive care toward recovery 

What qualifications you will need: 

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (LPN/LVN) Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse

• Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License Current licensure in good standing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois. Upon Hire

Are you a Licensed Practical Nurse with strong leadership skills and a passion for providing compassionate, quality care? Moundville Health and Rehabilitation in Moundville, AL is seeking dedicated LPN Charge Nurses for PRN float shifts (7 am–3 pm, 3 pm–11 pm, and 11 pm–7 am). In this role, you’ll oversee daily clinical activities, mentor CNAs, administer treatments and medications, and maintain detailed electronic medical records—all while building meaningful relationships with residents in our family‑focused, home‑like setting.

Your responsibilities as an LPN Charge Nurse may include:

1. Monitoring vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and other health indicators.
2. Performing basic care tasks, such as bandage changes or catheter insertions.
3. Observing residents for changes in health, mood, or behavior and reporting concerns to the RN Unit Manager or physician.
4. Engaging with residents, listening to their stories, and building meaningful connections.
5. Preparing residents for care procedures, explaining treatments, and addressing any questions or concerns.
6. Administering prescribed medications and providing immunizations.
7. Collaborating with or mentoring CNAs/NA’s to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications/Requirements:
