About the Role: UPS Industrial Services is seeking skilled and experienced Boilermakers to join our team. The ideal candidates will be based locally in the Chalmette, LA area, possess extensive experience and proficiency in the trade, and demonstrate the ability to interpret and work from blueprints, plans, and other technical drawings. These positions will involve maintenance and turnaround work as required. The roles are typically long-term. Please note, there is no per diem offered for these positions. This is a local job and does not pay per-diem so the ideal candidate must live within 50 miles of Chalmette, LA.

Responsibilities:

  • Be familiar and be able to interpret the results of various NDE methods such as PT, MT, UT and RT.
  • Deal with AI, client reps. and third party inspectors.
  • Be proficient in the testing of assembled vessels by pumping water or gas under specified pressure into vessels and observing the vessels and instruments for evidence of leakage.

Job Duties & Essential Functions: :

  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
  • Use knowledge of towers/columns, exchangers, boilers, heaters, reactors, drums, fin fans, pressure vessels, and other industrial equipment to perform duties
  • Properly select and use manual, pneumatic, and electric tools according to tasks
  • Hoist equipment and tools into location via bull rigging or crane.
  • Repair and replace trays and other internal components

  • Cut, bend, and weld iron/steel pieces, using metal shears, torches, and welding equipment.

Licenses and Permits

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is excited to offer opportunities for an Aviation Maintenance Technician to join our Field team in Moses Lake, Washington .

As an Aviation Maintenance Technician, you will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in aircraft operations. Your role will involve performing a wide range of maintenance tasks on aircraft structures and systems, where your attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are critical. A Color Vision Certification may be necessary for portions of this job. You will troubleshoot and inspect aircraft to ensure they are flight-ready, diligently documenting all maintenance activities to comply with industry regulations. Your technical expertise will enable you to execute repairs and modifications effectively, ensuring that all work meets stringent specifications.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Perform production installations, maintenance, preventative maintenance, and alterations on aircraft structures, systems, and sub-systems, including electrical and avionics, for both standard and experimental certificated aircraft.

  • Troubleshoot, inspect, test, repair, and service aircraft and engine systems to ensure they are flight-ready, documenting any nonconforming materials or components according to established specifications and procedures.

  • Conduct audits and surveillance of manufacturing and quality assurance processes, including customer/FAA coordination, configuration change verification, conformity inspections, and airworthiness inspections.

  • Utilize technical specifications, sketches, manuals, and FAA publications to effectively complete work assignments.

  • Maintain company and FAA-required records and inspection forms while ensuring a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

  • Plan and organize work packages to promote safe and efficient operations, meeting predetermined schedules.

  • Operate various information systems, including company web-based systems and Microsoft Office products, to perform assigned tasks.

  • Interpret and adhere to airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and other approved data.

  • Apply mathematical calculations to set up and use precision measuring tools for accurate measurements.

  • Create production aids as needed to facilitate work assignments.

  • Maintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits for assigned work.

  • Exchange information with suppliers, customers, or company representatives to explain or demonstrate operations and tests.

Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:

  • Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.

  • Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.

  • Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants.

  • Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards.

  • Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.

  • Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Aerospace Technician and Mechanic Aptitude Virtual Job Tryout: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with aircraft maintenance on powered aircraft with military, airline or certificated repair station background (an A&P certificate and/or completion of A&P training at an accredited institution will count for 2 years of experience) OR with troubleshooting electrical systems or complex mechanical systems (e.g. hydraulics, pneumatics, heavy machinery, diesel, construction).

  • 3+ years of experience removing, reworking and installing skin panels, bulkheads, frames, stringers, ribs, floor beams, and other structural members.

  • Ability to complete Fall Protection Training.

  • Ability to work in Confined Spaces (work within or pass through). Entry diameter 9.5”X17.7”

  • Must be willing to work any shift, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate. Please note your certificate number on your resume if you are certified.

  • 5+ of aircraft maintenance experience on powered aircraft with military, airline or certificated repair station background (an A&P certificate and/or completion of A&P training at an accredited institution will count for 2 years of experience).

  • 3+ years of experience working with precision measuring tools.

  • 3+ years of experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and related equipment.

  • 3+ years of experience with flight control rigging.

  • 3+ years of aircraft maintenance experience; experience with fuel cell systems preferred.

  • Familiarity with structural engineering liaison processes and the ability to work from engineering dispositions, stress analysis instructions, and SRM limitations.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Civil Construction Laborer with expertise in carpentry and concrete work to join our team. This position will involve assisting with a variety of heavy civil construction projects such as roadways, bridges, and infrastructure, . The ideal candidate will be well-versed in carpentry, formwork, and concrete placement techniques, as well as general laborer duties, with a strong commitment to safety and quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities:

 Carpentry Work:

  • Construct, install, and repair wooden structures, forms, and frameworks for construction projects (e.g., building forms for concrete pours, scaffolding, supports, etc.).
  • Measure, cut, and assemble wooden beams, boards, and other materials used in construction.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for layout and dimensions.
  • Maintain tools and carpentry equipment to ensure they are in good working order.

 Concrete Work:

  • Prepare, pour, and finish concrete for foundations, roads, bridges, and other heavy civil infrastructure projects.
  • Set up and dismantle concrete forms, ensuring that they are aligned and properly positioned.
  • Operate machinery and tools for mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete.
  • Perform concrete surface finishing techniques such as troweling, leveling, and smoothing.
  • Assist with reinforcing steel placement (rebar) as required in concrete work.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Heavy Civil Construction preferred.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints
  • Minimum of 2 years of assembly/disassembly of heavy form systems.
  • Knowledge in the use of concrete pumps, concrete placement/finishing, rebar installation a plus.
  • Skill in smoothing, finishing freshly placed concrete, applying surface treatments and restoring concrete surfaces.
  • Prior rigging knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with leveling tools such as laser levels and transits.
  • Must have proper knowledge of using and maintaining any type of power equipment required to fulfill job description and possess the appropriate tools of the trade.
  • OSHA 10 is required.
