Facility is seeking a physician BC in Hematology/Oncology to join a highly esteemed team of practitioners
- Schedule: 36 hours of patient facing + 4 hours of indirect patient care- 5 days per week (with 1 day of telehealth optional) and 7 days with one weekend on-call per month (covering both hospitals for new consultations and evening cross coverage and night calls).

- Average patient load is 1-2 new patients per day and 12 follow up patients.

- Inpatient census varies own patients rounded on by provider, night coverage for all patients- Individual medical assistants, shared nurse navigators, oncology social services and registered dietician available on-site part time.

Board certified on-site cancer center pharmacy and on-site specialty pharmacy are available for consultation and support.

- Onsite PET/CT, mammography, bone density, ultrasound, diagnostic CT, spectrum of routine radiology.- Radiation Oncology is also on-site with Varian Tru-Beam and experienced team.

Prostate brachytherapy.

- Typical referrals are about 2/3 hematology and 1/3 oncology.- Develop individualized treatment regimens, utilizing tumor boards, clinical trials, and collaboration with the team of dedicated physicians.

Modalities include chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, hormonal therapy, radiation therapy, and regional referral for transplant and CAR-T support.- Active tumor boards for coordination of care with other specialists to include diagnostic imaging, pathology, surgery, radiation oncology, medical oncology, palliative care, nurse practitioners, and clinical trial team members- Oversee the administration of chemotherapy, transfusion therapy, immunotherapy, and other biologics in the adjacent infusion center.- Multiple clinical trials are available with active IRB.

We are actively seeking a dedicated Radiation Oncologist Physician for a 40-day assignment in Illinois, beginning Jun 2, 2026. This vital role involves managing a robust patient load of 25-30 treatments daily, with a focus on external beam treatments, OTVs, and follow-ups. The selected physician will be instrumental in comprehensive patient evaluation, precise treatment planning, and ensuring the accurate delivery of radiation therapy.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Responsible for patient evaluation, simulation, and dosimetry treatment planning.
• Prescribe radiation therapy.
• Conduct weekly assessments of patients under treatment.
• Perform post-treatment patient follow-up.
• Check daily images for verification of alignment and accuracy of treatment.

Additional Information

• EMR: Epic
• Expected to manage 25-30 patients under treatment per day, including external beam treatments, OTVs, and follow-ups. Procedures require on-site supervision for compliance, checking SRSs, on-treatment visits, follow-up, or consult.
