Position Responsibilities:

• Lead and provide technical quality review of the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems and thermal environment to establish the system design
• Lead activities to validate and verify mechanical and fluid systems requirements
• Lead the development, maintenance or modification of system components' designs/proposals to provide installation and detail documentation
• Perform and document analyses
• Manage supplier development, test and production activities and direct the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals
• Prioritize, delegate and track performance and documentation of analyses of mechanisms/landing gear/ordnance components and systems selecting appropriate methods to validate or assess the design

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)
• 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
• Experience with Model Based Engineering tools (NX, NX motion, Teamcenter, Hyperworks, MSOSA or equivalent)
• Experience with development and integration of Armament related hardware on Military Aircraft including pneumatic suspension and release equipment, pyrotechnic suspension and release equipment, pneumatic systems, compressors, and pylons
• Experience with integration of weapons, pods and external fuel tanks on Military Aircraft
• Experience with supplier developments and procurements including development of procurement specifications, technical evaluation of supplier proposals, technical coordination with suppliers, and supplier component qualification

You will enable the VMS organization to continue to advance its technologies in support of our Phantom Works and Fixed-Wing programs. The team is responsible for developing integration test assets, real-time software test environments, subsystem/system testing, and evaluating system performance in simulation lab environment. Simulation and modeling are utilized to assist in requirements development, software and hardware development, and equipment verification and validation.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead major design activities for hardware/software products

• Mentor junior engineers in design practices and processes; oversee the quality of their work products

• Develop architectures for test systems

• Select components for hardware designs and support the procurement and fabrication of hardware designs

• Integrate hardware systems and/or software together in a test setting

• Operate complex test stations, electronic test equipment, and test software

• Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements

The Boeing Company and Government Vehicle Health Management Systems (GVHMS) Team is currently looking for an Experienced Systems Engineer - Health Management (Product Owner) to join their team in Hazelwood, MO. This role will primarily support a Proprietary program as well as other platforms in the GVHMS portfolio as required.

This team develops, fields and supports aircraft support systems for the F/A-18, E/A-18, F-15, T7 and MQ-25 aircraft platforms. The system acquires and manages aircraft health and usage data, performs health and usage assessment, updates aircraft configuration and recommends maintenance actions. The team is looking for a highly motivated systems engineer to develop requirements, perform integration activities, manage project budget, and take on the role of Product Owner (PO) on various projects. The ability to maintain and develop plans/schedules and to monitor and report schedule performance is required. Good oral and written communications are essential to success in this position. This role will work closely with the software development team, the software test team, other product owners, and the Chief Engineer on the team. This position will also require occasional domestic and international travel as required to ensure successful implementation of the system at customer sites.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain product roadmaps and system lifecycle plans.
• Develop, document, and verify requirements.
• Develop project schedules and track performance.
• Develop and organize work items for the software team.
• Be responsible for the integration of the components of the GVHMS system to successfully meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate with the customer on a regular basis.
• Document team plans and status, develop meeting agendas and presentations.
• Analyze process compliance and actively work on improvements.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• 3+ years of experience in systems engineering (requirements definition, allocation, verification, architecture design and trade design)
• 3+ years' experience building stakeholder and customer relationships
• 3+ years of experience in leading projects or teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Agile development experience
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead by influence
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)

Travel: 10%. Must have the ability to travel domestically or internationally.
