Atkore currently has openings for Machine Operator/Coilers in our New Bedford, MA facility. All openings will be 3rd Shift (Midnight - 8am), Monday through Friday (occasional overtime may be required including weekends) however training may take place on any shift.

Responsibilities include set up, operation, inspection and adjustment of large and/or heavy coiling equipment. This role requires lifting up to 70 lbs as well as pushing/pulling of coiling materials, completion of necessary paperwork and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

The pay range for this position ranges from $30.04/hr - $33.36/hr. Install of ships equipment which includes general machinery, main machinery, weapons systems, remote operating gear etc. which involves layout, tacking, grinding, drilling, reaming, spot facing, bolting, torqueing, testing etc. (but not limited to). And/or Responsible for safely activating, testing and operating of ships, main propulsion and auxiliary systems in accordance with approved procedures, practices and policies. Responsible to comply with approved Departmental Operating Instructions. Read and interpret test memos. Participate in sea trials and work list ship systems to provide direction to the construction mechanics.

Responsibilities

High School Diploma or GED preferred. Experience using basic shop tools, tacking, hand tools, torqueing and portable drilling tools. 2 years Trade or Technical schooling in a mechanical field, or at least 3 years of experience working in a mechanical Field And/or Any of the following: Valid USCG engine license or QMED certification for steam, motor or gas turbine engines A minimum of 3 years Navy or Coast Guard experience in engineering position, minimum E4 pay grade A minimum of 3 years successfully operating and testing shipboard systems

General description

The Interpreter for Deaf/Hard of Hearing facilitates communication through the use of sign-to English and English-to-sign skills. This position requires course work, Level 4 certification, and competency using manual sign systems.

• Interprets for students who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) in a variety of educational settings, including, but not limited to, classroom environments, assemblies, recess, noon sport leagues, and counseling sessions using various sign language systems and voice interpretation at a normal conversational rate
• Interprets a wide range of curriculum, including scientific and advanced placement topics
• Consults with the teachers of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing, general education staff and typical students on the effective use of an interpreter
• Provides voice interpretation to individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing as needed
• Collaborates with IEP teams to standardize signs in an educational setting
• Under the direction of the teacher of the deaf or hard of hearing, performs record keeping, monitoring IEP or special education related activities that support student learning

Licenses and certificates

• NAD certification, level 4 or above

Interpreters who have not yet obtained the required certification must be eligible for a certification waiver from the California Department of Education and must fulfill one of the following requirements in order to be placed on the eligibility list:

As a Production Team Supervisor, you’ll lead a group of 8–10 assemblers, working closely with another supervisor and partnering with materials, quality, and engineering teams. Your leadership will help drive scheduling, coaching, problem-solving, and ensuring high standards across assembly, wiring, and finishing operations.

You will:

• Coordinate daily production activities to meet delivery goals
• Coach and develop team members while fostering a culture of quality and accountability
• Jump in where needed to keep operations moving in a fast‑paced environment
• Address and document production or quality issues
• Support continuous improvement and cross‑team collaboration
• Lead with respect, consistency, and hands‑on engagement

What Makes You a Great Fit

Must‑Haves:

• More than 2 years of relevant production, testing, or electronics experience
• Strong communication and people‑leadership skills
• Ability to adapt within a new and growing facility
• Working knowledge of electronics, circuit boards, schematics, and test equipment
• Familiarity with power electronics or troubleshooting down to component level
