Job Summary:
Under limited supervision, performs a wide variety of repetitive and non-repetitive bench or line mechanical subassembly and assembly operations of a skilled nature to produce products, also making required minor adjustments in the assemblies as needed. Determines methods and sequence of assembly operations where complete information is not readily available or follows assembly shop and production operation sheets, samples, drawings, schematic and verbal instructions to perform a wide variety of assembly operations such as wiring, component installation and hand soldering, utilizing power tools, and small hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers and pliers. Identifies and selects components to be integrated into subassembly and assembly units. Makes own set-ups, alignments and adjustments maintaining tolerance in accordance with instructions. Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking multiple Machinist Assemblers Precision to join our Machinist departments in either Seattle, WA or Tukwila, WA.

Machinists in this position participate in the design, fabrication and assembly of various production and research projects. Using a variety of precision machines (e.g., lathes, grinders, EDM, CNC and milling machines) to support aircraft engineering and production groups.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform bench work (e.g., drilling, honing, tapping, reaming) on production and experimental parts, as required
  • Assemble parts using rivets and bolts with correct tools such as rivet squeeze, lock bolt puller, rivet gun and bucking bar, power screwdriver, or ratchet per engineering requirements
  • Lay-out, plan and sequence machining operation
  • Analyze and interpret drawings, sketches, blueprints and verbal instructions to determine work to be performed on detailed precision parts (e.g., aircraft castings, fixtures, tools, shop aids)

Job Summary

The Electrical Integrator L2 will provide technical support to program managers, project directors, task leads, and senior-level Electrical Integrators. The Electrical Integrator L2 will help with mid-level troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical cables, circuits, and assemblies.

This position will interact on a consistent basis with: faculty and staff project/task leaders, technical leads, contractors, and vendors

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Support program managers, project directors, and task leads with mid-level electrical assembly work such as cable assembly fabrication, and electrical chassis fabrication and assembly

Job Duty 2 -
Help with mid-level testing and troubleshooting of circuits and systems

Job Duty 3 -
Provide intermediate levels of maintenance and repair of printed circuit boards and printed circuit board assemblies

Job Duty 4 -
Assist with kitting parts using a Bill of Materials or other online inventory tools; help provide data entry for online inventory tools

Job Duty 5 -
Support other work teams, as needed, with skills such as mechanical assembly, welding, metal work, drafting, parts inventory, and technical documentation

Job Duty 6 -
Provide guidance to more junior-level technicians

Job Duty 7 -
Perform other job-related duties as assigned

This role requires standing throughout the day and assembling parts and sub-assemblies using small hand tools. You will conduct quality checks to ensure parts are made correctly, following detailed checklists and procedures. This position is bench level production of UAV, payload systems, electrical systems, airframes, and launcher systems.

- Monday to Friday PRIMARY FUNCTION: State the primary function or overall purpose of your position.

Reports to the Quality Supervisor or designated authority.

Responsible for performing in-process and/or outbound dimensional and visual inspections of component parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: List the essential functions (i.e.

key responsibilities with expected end results) which must be accomplished in order to fulfill the purpose of your position as described above.

Inspects (receiving, in-process and outbound) aerospace component parts, sub-assemblies and/or assemblies visually and dimensionally for conformance to manufacturing drawings, quality control specifications and supplier/customer requirements.

Other duties and/or responsibilities may be performed as part of cross-training or employee development plan.

Responsible for review and acceptance of paperwork and documentation used in the acceptance of product.

Responsible to produce necessary manual or computer generated inspection reports to accept or reject products.

Inspection involves using measurement equipment such as, but not limited to, calipers, micrometers, pin gages, thread plugs, thread ring gages, surface plates, and optical comparator.

Completes data processing move transactions as required.

Possesses basic understanding of geometrical tolerancing and dimensional measurements per ASME Y14.5.

Possesses in-depth knowledge of AQL sampling selection per internal procedures or ANSI/ASQC Z1.4 or as directed by customers.

Possesses minimum of five years of experience in first article inspection reports per AS9102.
