Lactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Dairy (Yogurt) Processor based in Brattleboro.

In this position, the employee is responsible for processing yogurt bases. Perform CIPs and periodic equipment cleaning to ensure the highest quality standards. Receive, test, and separate raw milk, then enter test results and milk load data into SAP. Perform all raw CIPs and cleaning tasks as needed to support departmental requirements while maintaining quality standards. Additionally, perform all pasteurizer operator functions and the other duties listed below.

Full-time opportunity.

Schedule:

12-hourshifts: 6 pm-6 am

Week One: 3 Days on 4 days off

Week Two: 4 Days on, 3 days off

The Processing Supervisor will be responsible for maximizing productivity and achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by managing and directing processing employees on assigned shifts. Key duties will include planning and overseeing daily tasks, resolving operational roadblocks and employee concerns, and strictly enforcing all safety and quality protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies. This position will drive operational excellence by adhering to Continuous Improvement (CI) processes and the Management Operating Structure (MOS), requiring collaboration with other departments. The role will report to the Processing Manager.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Provide direction, leadership, and development for direct reports, including training, coaching, performance management, and handling employee relations issues.
• Implement and enforce all safety programs and safe work practices, actively participating in plant safety initiatives.

• Monitor the flow and discharge of wastewater and ensure that all preventative maintenance (PMs) for processing machinery are completed on schedule.
• Execute quality assurance programs to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products.
• Review and approval of time records of all staff assigned (if applicable). Will be required to explain variances in hours worked, productivity and any other function responsible for.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The incumbent is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Processing employees on their assigned shift in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

The Utilities and Processing Manager is responsible for leading the performance, reliability, and compliance of all plant utility, environmental, and milk processing systems. This role oversees cross-functional maintenance teams, drives energy-efficiency and sustainability initiatives, and manages complex capital and operational projects from planning through execution. The manager ensures utility operations-including HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, compressed air, glycol, electrical distribution, and wastewater systems-are safe, efficient, and compliant with regulatory and corporate standards. In addition, the role provides technical leadership for milk processing systems, ensuring consistent product quality, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement. This position collaborates closely with internal teams, contractors, and external regulatory partners to support operational excellence, long-term asset health, and site-wide performance goals.

Project Management:

Create long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines. Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project. Serve as a point of contact for all project personnel, (contractors, internal support resources, etc.), to ensure teams remain in synergy. Communicate with internal and external business partners to keep the project aligned with their goals and targets. Performing quality control on the project throughout execution to maintain the standards expected. Adjust project schedules, targets, milestones, project financing, and escalations as needed.

Plant Utility Systems:

Drive plant utility efficiencies to positively impact energy savings in line with Sustainable Environmental goals. Supervise and manage the Utilities Maintenance Department to provide technical oversight for utility systems including HVAC, ammonia refrigeration, boilers, air compressors, glycol systems, and electrical distribution. Lead energy conservation efforts, manage plant utility projects, and partner with other business partners to ensure compliance with plant standards for all non-utility related projects.

Environmental Systems:

Provide technical assistance and oversight for the Industrial Pretreatment Facility, (WWTP), as well as all other Plant Utility Environmental Compliance. Oversee the execution of all environmental contracts, audits, and submit regulatory documents to ensure compliance. Manage 3rd party environmental contractors and align with corporate sustainability manager(s) for corporate sustainability initiatives.

Milk Processing Systems:

Directly manage the Maintenance resources for all Milk Processing systems. Establish mid- and long-term preventative maintenance plans to ensure the reliability of these systems. Including, but not limited to Raw incoming milk, Ingredient batching, Pasteurization, and CIP systems. Adhere to all Quality and PMO standards. Partner with Internal teams, external contractors, and suppliers to successfully execute continuous improvements and reliability initiatives.

• Oversee and execute Utility and Processing project(s) development, execution, and project and Maintenance budgets.

As a Senior Yogurt Process Project Manager, the role will carry out responsibilities such as but not limited to leading and executing strategic capital investment and process improvement projects that enhance the design, performance, and reliability of our yogurt manufacturing operations. The role includes overseeing projects from concept through full implementation, ensuring alignment with corporate standards, plant operational needs, and product quality expectations. Responsibilities include driving process design, managing cross-functional project teams, supporting production and quality operations, and ensuring successful commissioning of new or upgraded yogurt processing systems. Additionally, the Senior Yogurt Process Project Manager will collaborate with other Lactalis USA Corporate team members, the Lactalis Group Corporate Engineering & Equipment Department, R&D, Quality, Finance, and Plant Engineering and Operations teams to align duties with the company's goals and values.

• Define project objectives, deliverables, and performance criteria to support strategic business goals within yogurt manufacturing and processing.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to evaluate technical constraints, operational impacts, and cost-benefit considerations.
• Partner with Key Stakeholders at Corporate and Plant level - including Production, Quality, Planning, R&D, Finance, Safety, Maintenance, and Engineering - to obtain buy-ins and to ensure that project designs meet business, operational, and regulatory expectations.

• Define project objectives, deliverables, and performance criteria to support strategic business goals within yogurt manufacturing and processing.

• Partner with Key Stakeholders at Corporate and Plant level - including Production, Quality, Planning, R&D, Finance, Safety, Maintenance, and Engineering - to obtain buy-ins and to ensure that project designs meet business, operational, and regulatory expectations.
• Develop complete project packages including process flow diagrams, P&IDs, equipment layouts, scopes of work, cost estimates, timelines, ROI, and risk assessments required for capital project justification and submittal.

• Lead vendor negotiations to secure competitive quotations for capital assets, installation services, and engineering support.

• Maintain and distribute comprehensive Project Schedules, identify critical paths, implement mitigation initiatives, and propose acceleration plans to ensure all projects are completed in accordance with the timelines in the Savings Plans and ROI calculations.
• Coordinate and facilitate project review meetings, develop and distribute meeting minutes, and escalate issues or risks to key stakeholders as required.
• Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning activities to ensure equipment performance aligns with specifications and project objectives.
• Oversee installation, startup, and optimization of yogurt processing systems, resolving technical issues and ensuring seamless integration with existing operations.
• Ensure all projects comply with corporate engineering standards, environmental regulations, food safety requirements, and applicable industry codes.

The Automation Engineer (Equipment/Process) delivers and sustains automated manufacturing equipment and process capability across the equipment lifecycle. This role focuses on equipment performance, process robustness, and reliability to meet safety, quality, throughput, and cost objectives. The engineer leads equipment acceptance activities (FAT/SAT/Run-at-Rate), validates capability targets (e.g., Cp/Cpk, OEE, MTBF/MTTR), and partners with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and suppliers/integrators to implement scalable, maintainable automation solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Equipment & Automation Systems

• 
  
• Design, specify, program, and commission automated manufacturing equipment, including:

Process & Manufacturing Capability

• Translate product and process requirements into automation solutions that are repeatable, stable, scalable, and maintainable.
  
• Develop and validate process windows and settings within automated equipment to ensure consistent output across shifts and lots.
  
• Identify automation-driven risks and implement mitigation (poka-yoke, interlocks, detection/verification, alarms) to protect quality and safety.
  
• Support continuous improvement initiatives targeting yield, cycle time, scrap reduction, and labor efficiency.
  

Equipment Reliability & Sustainment

• 
  
• Support startup, ramp, and highvolume production through handson troubleshooting and optimization.
  
• Partner with Maintenance to develop:

• Collaborate with Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Maintenance throughout equipment development and deployment.
  
• Manage automation suppliers and integrators for technical scope definition, deliverables, timelines, and performance accountability (as assigned).
  
• Support PFMEA/DFMEA contributions, control plan development, and quality audits related to automated processes.
  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES FOR SUCCESS

• Strong understanding of automated equipment capability and manufacturing process control, including Cp/Cpk, OEE, MTBF, and MTTR.
  
• Experience supporting or commissioning industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa) and integrating with equipment/process requirements.
  
• Proficiency troubleshooting control systems and complex electromechanical systems in a production environment.
  
• Experience integrating or supporting vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence) and automated detection/verification strategies.
  
• Working knowledge of functional safety concepts and applicable standards (ANSI/ISO/OSHA and internal safety requirements).
  
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles; ability to apply structured problem-solving methods.

As a Raytheon Process Engineer, you'll work to improve processes to maintain efficiency, reduce costs, improve sustainability and safety and maximize profitability.

You're the in-factory materials and process specialist, and your responsibilities will include verifying that Technical Data Package (TDP) shelf-life materials are correctly called out in Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) and writing material processing procedures. In addition, you'll collaborate on integrating process equipment within the factory and you'll document the equipment's functionality.

As a Process Engineer II, your responsibilities will also include:

• Quickly addressing production issues related to materials and processes, ensuring root causes of issues are understood and solutions are robust and cost effective
• Assisting with on-the-job training for materials and processes
• Actively participating in daily production meetings
• Collaborating with Factory personnel
• Notifying the Materials Management Team of any potential materials obsolescence or supply chain interruptions
• Assisting the Process Engineer working with Materials & Process Engineering (M&PE) to quickly address problem buys and obsolete materials. This includes identifying end users, determining material requirements, finding alternatives (drive testing as needed), ensuring new materials will work in existing processes and using the opportunity to drive to common materials
• Helping to improve processes utilizing Lean manufacturing techniques to reduce variability, eliminate constraints and provide ongoing process sustainment
• Helping to drive use of common materials based on allowable requirements on the drawing, utilizing process engineering tools
• Assisting in creating or editing Manufacturing Procedures
• Supporting process troubleshooting efforts to quickly and efficiently resolve manufacturing process issues and coordinating with Materials & Process Engineering (M&PE) Labs to do root Cause Corrective Action as required
• This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending time in and around factory areas
