The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of imaging procedures, including CT and X-Rays, at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. 

• Provide technical assistance and supportive patient care to assist the physicians, nurses and other technical and administrative staff in meeting the needs of individual patients throughout the facility.
• Operate and maintain all imaging department equipment including but not limited to X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACS
• Perform all imaging exams in accordance with established policies, procedures, regulations, and laws and ensure the physician on duty is notified of the results
• Perform basic clinical procedures under the direction of the physician and/or nurse on duty
• Maintain all required documentation, logs, charts, forms and records in paper and electronic formats
• Collect laboratory samples and perform lab testing in accordance with established policies and procedures, as well as COLA and CLIA regulations
• Maintain an adequate supply of all reagents and consumables to perform quality testing
• Perform all routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function checks following established protocol for all imaging equipment

Job Title: Registered Nurse I

Department: Medical Short-Stay Unit

SUMMARY:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you’re the engine and the heart of patient care at Rochester Regional Health. You make a positive difference every single day in the lives of our patients, their family members and visitors – going above and beyond to meet their needs with courtesy, kindness, respect and compassion.

The Medical Short-Stay Unit (MSU) at Rochester General Hospital is a 38-bed, fast-paced medical-surgical unit specializing in caring for patients with an anticipated stay of five days or less. Split between two wings (4100 and 4200), the unit features telemetry monitoring, negative pressure rooms, and a collaborative care model with on-unit providers, dedicated social work support, and strong nurse leadership. MSU focuses on rapid throughput, high discharge volume, and seamless coordination with the Emergency Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides high-quality, patient-centered, clinical care

• Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient, utilizing appropriate data (i.e. physical, psychological, educational and risk-screen data appropriate for the chronological / developmental age of the patient).

• Communicates and documents assessment of patient with the interdisciplinary team. Utilizes all available resources in order to meet the needs of the patient and family.

• Develops and documents plan of care, treatment and services which is individualized and appropriate for the patient needs, strengths, limitations and goals.

• Complies with organizational policies, procedures and protocols including policies governing safety, medication administration and documentation.

• Revises plan of care based on ongoing evaluations and updates documentation appropriately.

• Completes at least one clinical research utilization (CRU) form for submission to Nursing Research Department utilizing a research article from the last 5 years from research performed in the United States.

COMPLIANCE:

• Completes a minimum of 5 nationally approved contact hours (CNE or CEU) per year.

• Completes mandatory in-services and health screens in timely manner.

• Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing

• Registered Nurse license in New York State.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.

Job Summary:

• The Director of Oncology Navigation & Supportive Services provides strategic leadership for patient navigation, care coordination, survivorship, nutrition, social services and integrative oncology across the cancer service line.
• This role ensures seamless care transitions, enhances patient experience, and supports multidisciplinary collaboration to optimize outcomes for oncology patients.
• Primary duties and responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: 1. Lead and develop a comprehensive oncology navigation program across the cancer service line. 2. Design and implement survivorship nursing care models that address long-term patient needs.
• Aligns and service line initiatives with institutional goals and national oncology standards.
• Care Model Design and Integration: 1. Design and implement survivorship care models that address long-term patient needs. 2. Incorporate nutrition, social work and integrative oncology services into the care continuum.
• Collaboration and Alignment: 1. Collaborate with nursing, medical, and administrative leaders to align supportive care services with institutional goals. 2. Represent the service line in internal and external committees, conferences, and professional organizations.
• Quality, Performance and Patient Experience: 1. Ensure consistent and effective patient navigation processes that improve patient outcomes, experience, and safety. 2. Develop and maintain quality standards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve program outcomes.
• Travel: Less than 10% of the time may be required. Work Type: Hybrid employee - splits time between working remotely and working in the office.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Education - Master's degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing required OR Master's degree in another discipline acceptable if candidate holds Bachelor of Science in Nursing Experience - Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible senior nursing leadership experience. Minimum 3 years of experience in Oncology nurse navigation leadership. Licensure - A valid, unencumbered Registered Nursing License approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing. Certification - Nurse Executive Certification (NE-BC, NEA-BC) or comparable certifications (CNML or CENP) must be obtained within one (1) year of entry into role, BLS required Knowledge, skills, and abilities (required): - Strong communication, strategic planning, and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Preferred Qualifications Education -  10+ years of progressively responsible senior nursing leadership experience. Certification - Oncology nursing (e.g., OCN®, AOCN®, AOCNP®) strongly preferred.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Cardiographic Tech specializing in Electrophysiology credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Approved Local Exception preferred. Approved for KSWIC to add RADTECHNO for state regulatory reasons. All other SETID's should remove this from the NPP.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
