Role Description

The Director of Business Development is responsible for identifying and developing the sales and marketing strategies leading to long-term, profitable growth. You will evaluate and execute new business opportunities which align with Prometheus Materials’ overall market growth strategies. This position will work closely with distributors, vendors, and customers. Additionally, close collaboration with internal business units (biotechnology, research and development, manufacturing, and product management) will be essential to the success of the Director of Business Development.

    JOB SUMMARY
    The Senior Welder is responsible for performing advanced welding, repair, and refurbishment of aerospace components within our MRO operation. This role requires a high level of technical skill, precision, and compliance with aerospace quality standards. The Senior Welder serves as a subject matter expert, supporting complex repairs, mentoring other MRO team members, and ensuring all work meets customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.

    Key Responsibilities
    Welding & Repair Operations
    • Perform complex welding repairs on aerospace components in accordance with approved repair procedures, work instructions, and customer specifications.
    • Execute welding processes such as TIG (GTAW) and other applicable methods on aerospace alloys (e.g., nickel-based alloys, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium).
    • Interpret engineering drawings, weld symbols, repair manuals, and technical instructions.
    • Restore components to serviceable condition while maintaining dimensional integrity and material properties.

    Quality & Compliance
    • Ensure all welding and repair activities comply with AS9100, FAA/EASA requirements (as applicable), and internal quality procedures.
    • Complete required documentation accurately, including travelers, repair records, and inspection sign-offs.
    • Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
    • Work closely with Quality and Engineering to resolve nonconformances and repair challenges.

    Inspection & Process Control

    Leadership & Mentorship

    • Provide input on process improvements, tooling needs, and repair development.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • HS Diploma or equivalent, technical certification in welding.
    • 7+ years' of welding experience in an aerospace manufacturing or MRO environment.
    • Demonstrated expertise in TIG welding for aerospace applications.
    • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and weld symbols.
    • Strong understanding of aerospace quality and repair requirements.
    • Excellent attention to detail and workmanship.
