Represent Altorfer at training update conferences and other training initiatives.



Basic Duties

  • Function as liaison with Caterpillar regarding technical and professional training.
  • Assist in developing Altorfer's training offerings for all employees to align with across the table initiatives.
  • Schedule and conduct training classes on current products and ICC classes when needed.
  • Drive prerequisite training for ILT classes.
  • Maintain enrollment & enrollment deletions in Dealer Performance Center (DPC), assign DPC web training. Maintain training records & function as DPC Administrator for Altorfer.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • 2-5 plus years of previous experience as a training instructor, training employees required.

  • Related Technical training and problem analysis experience in heavy equipment industry is required.
  • Associates of Applied Science degree in Diesel Technology or related field. Bachelor's Degree in Education/Training, Communications or similar program is preferred.

  • Must have strong organizational & time management skills with the ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is a must.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

This position works in an office and travels to other locations. May on a continuous basis walk, bend and lift up to 40lbs. May be required to wear appropriate safety equipment (IE- Safety glasses or side shields) when needed. The noise level in the office environment is usually moderate to low. May intermittently sit at a desk for a period of time to answer telephone calls and write or use a keyboard to communicate through email. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. 30% of travel is required. Requirements of the Tech Scholar:

  • Be enrolled as a full-time student in a Mechatronics or EET program at a partnered Technical College with Michelin
  • Be a full time student (12 credit hour per semester)
  • Have and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPACumulative
  • Be able to work at least 20 hours per week at Michelin during the program

Job Achievements:
* Methods and practices applied (job performed in safety, quality, respect of instruction,...)
* Sustain equipment compliance (standard, cleanliness, cycle time, influent parameters,...)
* Interventions are encoded, documented, and analyzed
* Effectiveness of all interventions (prevent breakdowns, cure the default within an optimized time,collaboration with Production, Quality, ...)
* Efficiency of all interventions (resources used, consumption of spare parts, sustained energy efficiency of equipment)
* Support MDP processes (participating in analyzes, requirements from 5' briefing treated or upgraded...)
* Machine performance assured for perimeter of responsibility
