As an Industrial Control Systems and Automation Program Manager, you will work with the maintenance teams to deep dive issues and opportunities within the control systems for conveyance, sortation systems, automated baggers, robotic systems, and more. You will develop instructor led technical training materials on these systems and deliver training to controls and automation technicians across the network. You will also provide technical support and serve as the Installation and Operational Qualification controls lead for new launch sites. This role is the resident expert in automation and controls, and will lead the technical training program.

Mandatory Requirements

Position Summary:
Perform broad support engineering functions for engineering group in assistance to project and product related taskings from Engineering Management for the thermal product line. Enable successful task completion to produce technical value from the company.
Applies knowledge and understanding of process, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering to form documents, calculations, and drawings. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Aids in growth of company with a focus on wastewater business line technical services, ranging from Biosolids treatment to conveyance and disposal management.
- Engages clients in meaningful discussions about their most critical issues and translates those discussions into opportunities to deliver complete Project solutions. Captures technical notes.
- Actively participate in pursuit decisions, and in proposal and pricing development.

- Bachelor's degree in a professional, engineering, or related field
- Maintain a professional or engineering registration or certificate or have related technical experience
- Proven business development success in the water consulting industry
- Existing network of local clients is beneficial
- Experienced in the development and management of diverse teams
- Willingness to travel including overnight trips
- Commitment to HDR's core values of quality work and continuous improvement
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
- A minimum of 15 years relevant industry experience
- Demonstrated \"self-starter\" with a history of completing projects with limited oversight
- Deep knowledge of the A/E/C industry's standard approach to procurement of professional services
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire others
- Demonstrated ability to build a network of clients and industry partners
- Experience in sales and developing effective win strategies
- Strong financial acumen and negotiation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
