The Campus Engineering team exists to provide support to all aspects of design, construction, operation, and maintenance of campus facilities. Campus facilities include not only the buildings which are occupied by our students, faculty and staff, but it also includes central campus utility plants and the associated utility systems, including chilled water, steam, power, and natural gas

During the design process, first, our Team creates and maintains the design standards for building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, power distribution, and lighting. These standards are used by us, and by our outside consultants, to guide the design efforts of new buildings and renovation projects. Our team is also responsible for reviewing the design documents created by the consultants to ensure that their designs comply with standards.

During construction projects, our Team is often called upon to provide advice related to unforeseen conditions which are discovered during demolition work. We often provide a second review of material and equipment submittals, as well as shop drawings. On most campus construction projects, the day-to-day interaction with the contractor is managed by our co-workers within one of the Construction teams. However, on a few projects we may be called on to manage those day-to-day contractor activities.

Post construction, and throughout the life of the facilities, our team serves to provide advice to our Operation & Maintenance teams, and our Utilities Maintenance team, when a problem grows larger than their capacity. We also plan and prepare the way for projects to replace equipment as it nears the end of life. We are always looking ahead for opportunities to increase efficiency and resiliency in the systems.

• Capable to understand the high-level system requirement and providing workable solution
• Good knowledge in compliance NFPA, CE, SEMI S2, S8
• Knowledge of Clean room and SEMI standards is an added advantage.
• Aspire to own complete product cable harness, PDU design ownership and installation

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $68000 per year

Pay Range Maximum: $110000 per year

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. Job Summary:

The Electrical Design Engineer possesses advanced knowledge in the field of electrical engineering, which is utilized to provide electrical engineering design for HVACR equipment as produced by Smart Family of Cooling Products.

Essential Job Duties:

• Main Goals:
• Create all electrical schematics for all manufacturing projects.
• Create all electrical backplate vinyl's.
• Create all operator vinyl's.
• Select electrical components for project.
• Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
• Designing the electrical aspect of HVACR units with the SOLIDWORKS program.
• Designing the electrical aspect of HVACR units with the AutoCAD program.
• Test electrical systems and adjust as needed.
• Provide support throughout the manufacturing of the electrical systems.
• Utilize CAD to design and perfect new electrical systems.
• Provide support throughout the manufacturing if the electrical systems.
• Design prototypes, troubleshoot potential issues, make changes to fix any issues and create specifications and other details for the systems.
• Document specifications, schematics, and diagrams regarding projects.
• Produce reports addressing project progress and other details for managerial staff.
• Assist in the production of electrical systems in the manufacturing of industrial equipment.
• Maintain up-to-date records of all work completed and properly store on the public drive.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

• Four-year degree in electrical engineering is preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in the electrical engineering field is required.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and work on a computer.
• Must be able to transport 15 pounds at times.
