As a Behavioral Health Care Advocate, you will be responsible for case management / care coordination of members on the SED and Autism Waivers. You'll have a direct impact on the lives of our members as you recommend and manage the appropriate level of care throughout the entire treatment plan.
Primary Responsibilities:
Make patient assessments and determining appropriate levels of care
Obtain information from providers on outpatient requests for treatment
Determine if additional clinical treatment sessions are needed
Manage inpatient and outpatient mental health cases throughout the entire treatment plan
Administer benefits and review treatment plans
Coordinate benefits and transitions between various areas of care
Identify ways to add value to treatment plans and consulting with facility staff or outpatient care providers on those ideas
Develop and monitor implementation of Person-Centered Service Plans
Collaborate with Community Mental Health Centers to ensure member's are receiving services and supports

Required Qualifications:
Licensed Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Counseling; Licensed Ph.D., or Registered Nurse (with at least a Bachelor's degree) with 2+ years of experience in behavioral health
Active, unrestricted license in Kansas: LP, LPC, LCP, LCPC, LMSW, LSCSW, LMFT, LCMFT, or RN (with a Bachelor's Degree) in the state of Kansas
2+ years of post-license experience in a related mental health environment
Proven intermediate Microsoft skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
Access to secure, high-speed internet (Broadband Cable, DSL, or Fiber) and a dedicated, distraction-free workspace at home
Access to reliable transportation and ability to travel within the service delivery area as needed (up to 50%)
Preferred Qualifications:
Dual diagnosis experience with mental health and substance abuse
Experience working in an environment that required coordination of benefits and utilization of multiple groups and resources for patients

Reviews claims involving complex, controversial, or unusual or new services in order to determine medical necessity and appropriate payment.

About the Role
The Behavioral Analyst performs a variety of direct care and supervisory duties, including conducting client assessments and observing clients to identify target behaviors. This role collaborates with clients (ages 2–21), their families, and other service providers to develop and implement an Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP). - Instructional Assistance: Provide instructional support tailored to individual student needs.
- Travel: Report to different locations under 30 miles one-way within the assigned region (if applicable).
- Work Schedule: Availability to work approximately a 6.5 hour shift between the hours of Monday-Friday 6AM-4:30PM (varies based on assignment).
- Crisis Intervention: Respond to emergency situations (e.g., fights, seizures) and intervene using Pro-ACT and/or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) methods.
- Student Supervision: Monitor and assist students during class breaks, meals, transportation, and bathroom use.
- Recreational Activities: Participate in and/or facilitate activities like athletics, crafts, and off-campus trips.
- Behavioral Modeling: Demonstrate Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies to increase or decrease targeted behaviors.
- Data Recording: Record daily data on student behavior, skills progression, incidents, and learning objectives.
- Effective Communication: Maintain open communication with supervisors and agency staff regarding student status and any potential issues.
- *BA III only* Substitute: Serve as a substitute teacher as needed, ensuring continuity of instruction.
Behavioral Aide Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required for BA I-II, Bachelors degree required for BA III
- Experience: Prior experience in a school or treatment setting, working with students needing learning, social, emotional, or behavioral assistance.
- Clearances: DOJ/FBI Live Scan Background & TB Clearance required.
- Preferred Certifications: Pro-ACT, CPI intervention training, and/or CPR certification.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with standard software applications and the internet.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Personal Qualities: Reliability, dependability, and flexibility are crucial.
- Other: Must be at least 18 years of age.

- Activity: Frequent engagement in tasks such as reaching, handling, standing, walking, and lifting items.
