This role leads the overall Quality function for a manufacturing organization, with direct responsibility for the Quality and CMM teams.

The Quality Manager ensures that business and quality systems consistently meet customer expectations while driving continuous improvement through Lean principles.

The objective is to strengthen customer satisfaction, streamline processes, reduce unnecessary complexity, and improve coordination and communication across the organization.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Quality Leadership & Strategy

• Lead and develop the Quality and CMM departments
• Define, deploy, and track Quality goals and objectives aligned with business strategy
• Identify and translate customer quality needs, expectations, and requirements into effective systems
• Represent the organization with customers on all quality-related matters

Systems & Process Excellence

• Manage, sustain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with customer and industry requirements
• Provide the infrastructure to support APQP, PPAP, production launch readiness, and planning processes
• Ensure standardization and alignment of customer requirements across programs
• Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives company-wide

Continuous Improvement & Cross-Functional Impact

• Lead problem-solving, corrective and preventive actions, and root cause activities
• Partner cross-functionally to improve processes and organizational effectiveness
• Support increased sales and operational performance through quality-driven metrics
• Contribute to future-state manufacturing processes, systems, and product strategies

People, Planning & Financial Responsibility

• Develop and mentor Quality team members
• Participate in strategic planning and leadership communication processes
• Manage the Quality department budget and proportional capital expenditures

What We’re Looking For

Experience

• 10+ years of progressive experience in Quality Management
• Automotive manufacturing experience, specifically in metal products
• Deep expertise in developing and deploying Quality Management Systems
• Strong audit background (Certified Auditor required)
• Experience in IATF-regulated environments
• CQE and/or Certified Quality Manager preferred

Education

• Bachelor’s degree required (BS/BA)
• MBA preferred

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance procedures on all tooling.
• Design, maintain or repair various fixtures and jigs as job requires.
• Perform welding and fabrication work as necessary.
• Enter remote work order request into the system when necessary. Shift Log
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
• Plan and follow thru all Mold Repairs.
• Maintain mold, secondary equipment, and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Become familiar with ISO 14001 and TS16949
• Knowledge of costing, controlling assets and maintain within budget restraints.
• Special projects as deem necessary.
• Assist Tooling Supervisor and Tooling Manger as necessary

Work experience requirements:

• Able to perform in production environment, learn to operate heavy equipment, operate forklift, work around and operate cranes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis

Location: On-site | Spartanburg, SC & Woodruff, SC

Schedule: 5:45 PM – 6:15 AM on a 2-2-3 continental pattern (every other weekend off).

Key Responsibilities

• Execute proactive and reactive upkeep on high-velocity bottling, filling, palletizing, and utility machinery, guaranteeing adherence to food safety standards and optimizing equipment uptime.
• Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical faults, using PLC/HMI interfaces to isolate logic issues and restore optimal performance.

What You Bring

• At least 2 years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance, preferably in food processing or high-speed packaging environments.
• Proficiency with conveyors, pumps, pneumatics, hydraulics, sensors, VFDs, and basic PLC diagnostics.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics; adept with multimeters and precision tools.
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms and basic computer skills for reporting.
• Forklift certification (or ability to become certified) and commitment to upholding GMP and safety protocols.

Physical & Work Environment

Expect standing, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs in a fast-moving, temperature-variable, and noise-controlled production setting. All required PPE is provided.

Job Description

 Shipping: Prepare products for shipment to customers or branches as required by sales order. This may include UPS, motor freight or delivery by our truck. Ensure products and paperwork and computer information agree 100%. Prepare shipping documentation as required. Ensure all shipments are delivered to destination as specified.

 Receiving: Receive all incoming shipments and deliveries from vendors after inspecting all packages for damage and count. Check all received goods against shipper’s documentation. Check all received goods against company’s documentation. Notify purchasing of any discrepancies noted. Warehouse or stage material as directed.

 Warehousing: Help other warehouse associates stock shelves, pick orders, maintain neatness, order and security in the warehouse as directed. Assist purchasing in physical inventories. Be familiar with all stock products by description and part number.

 Vehicle & Facilities Maintenance: Perform daily maintenance check before each trip for air and fluid levels etc. Perform any vehicle or facility cleaning or maintenance as directed by Supervisor.

SCHEDULE:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Operate small industrial vehicles including but not limited to- stand up forklift, sit down forklift, vna (very narrow aisle) forklift, cherry picker, tugger, reach truck, small box truck, or pallet jack as needed
• Assist in the management and distribution of goods within BMW’s logistics system
• Move and transport parts and pallets from incoming trucks and stack them in assigned locations, including racks that are up to 30 ft. high
• Use a cherry picker forklift or reach truck to move and transport large items on warehouse shelves
• Responsible for scanning, picking, sequencing, inspecting, transporting and moving parts within the plant to ensure the production line has the correct parts in a timely manner
• Perform general warehouse duties as necessary

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
