The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. The PSR I draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. Job Summary
The role of the Case Worker is to mitigate the impact of chronic 911 callers and to better protect our most vulnerable residents. The Case Worker facilitates access to social services and non-emergency medical services for vulnerable adults and families in crisis encountered by 911 responders within the Fire Department.Distinguishing Characteristics: The Case Worker is a full-time civilian position working within the Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) program reporting to a Chief Officer. This position works in conjunction with Regional Crisis Response Agency Crisis Responders and other community partners. The Case Worker visits clients as part of a team with an Emergency Medical Technician.
The Case Worker I is an entry-level level position within the Case Worker job series. This classification is reserved for those with an associate license and/or master's degree. An employee in the Case Worker I classification will move to the Case Worker II classification when they are able to demonstrate that they have an independent clinical practice license from the Washington State Department of Health.

- Establishes and maintains relationships with outside agencies who are partners in the effort to guide 911 callers towards appropriate medical and social services.
- Participates in the development of the Department's performance metrics, tracking, and referrals related to the Mobile Integrated Health team.
- Promotes best practices in treatment approaches, support systems, and interventions through trainings that support clinical competency, culturally relevant practices, and use of appropriate technologies.
- Works with adult family homes, assisted living facilities, group homes, skilled nursing facilities and other care facilities to improve client outcomes.
- Works with City personnel who encounter and refer vulnerable individuals in need of assistance in their care, safety, mental or physical health issues.
- Keeps timely and organized progress notes on individuals enrolled for services.
- Uses clinical experience and expertise to inform evaluation, case management, coaching, and advocacy decisions with clients referred to MIH.
- Monitors and finds solutions for callers who are deemed "high users" of the 911 system.
- Provides proactive leadership to foster understanding and teamwork in the area of community response.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree in social work, sociology, psychology, human development, or other related field or Associate's license as a social worker, mental health counselor, or marriage and family therapist as defined by WAC 246-809.
- Experience: 1 year of paid experience in a health care setting, including public health or behavioral health.
- Or: In place of the above requirements, the incumbent may possess any combination of relevant education and experience which would demonstrate the individual's knowledge, skill, and ability to proficiently perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above.

Hours of Work
During the 9 weeks of summer adventures, attendance is extremely necessary for all staff positions. Staff are seasonal positions that support a mandatory staff to camper ratio. Please give us at least a month notice for any requested days off throughout the summer.
Typical day is 7-8 hours per day between 9am - 5pm. Monday - Friday's between, June 29th - August 28th. Work schedule may fluctuate during periods of low attendance and poor weather/air quality days. Training Days and times will be scheduled in the middle of June.
Working Conditions & Physical Activities
- Performs work in settings indoor and outdoor, including multipurpose rooms, parks, playgrounds, beaches, trails, and recreation sites.
- Exposure to extended periods of direct sunlight and/or cool and damp weather is possible. Exposure to insects and wildlife is possible when out on a trail in our region. Staff will receive training and other preventative measures upon hire.
- Walk/Hike 3-5 miles for four days consecutively.
- The job requires frequent light lifting and carrying (15-20 lbs.) up to five miles, and infrequent heavy lifting of up to 50lbs.

In this position, you will be a part of a team offering community building events for the public to enjoy throughout the year, such as movie nights, festivals, cultural celebrations, and the City's 4th of July parade.The role of the Recreation Lead is to provide outstanding customer service and operational support to recreation programs, facilities, and events within Parks and Community Services. Recreation Leads serve as the on-site City representative and may work at City facilities, athletic fields, school gymnasiums, City parks, and/or off-site program locations. Recreation Leads provide operational support including preparing spaces, leading and monitoring activities, and performing clerical work, and training and leading staff. Recreation Leads may work without on-site supervision.
Recreation Lead may be assigned to:
- Programs, such as youth or adult sports.
- Facilities, such as North Kirkland Community Center, Peter Kirk Community Center, City Hall, or Heritage Hall.
- Events, such as festivals or special events taking place in Kirkland parks or City facilities.
This recruitment is specifically for Recreation Leads who will support City-sponsored events taking place in Kirkland Parks or City facilities. Recreation Leads assigned to events will be responsible for set-up, operation, and tear-down of the City's trailered LED screen during moves in the park.
Set-up and tear-down of the LED screen includes operating a generator and a hydraulic lift, using hand tools, connecting data cables, and standing on a ladder.Operations of the LED screen involves running its audio and video equipment, including DVD or computer media, microphones, FM transmitter and other equipment, as well as conducting sound checks, providing technical support, and troubleshooting. Training will be provided.
Recreations Leads will also perform general event duties such as set-up and tear-down of event tents, tables, chairs, etc., in addition to leading event activities and providing on-site assistance to event attendees, volunteers, and other staff. Recreation Leads may also provide access control and crowd management at high-attendance events.
Distinguishing Characteristics: The Recreation Lead oversees programs, facilities, and events that the Recreation Attendant assists with. This position reports to Program Coordinators and/or Recreation Supervisors.

The On-Call Crisis Responder II position will reside in the Regional Crisis Response (RCR) Agency and report directly to the Crisis Responder Supervisor. The On-Call Crisis Responder II serves as needed on a team of other citywide community responders as part of the RCR Agency, which provides a consolidated and standardized mobile crisis response program operating throughout the jurisdictions served. Crisis Responders use evidence-based practice that promotes well-being through assessment, brief intervention, referral to services, and prevention. Crisis Responders incorporate knowledge of human behavior, sociology, psychiatry, psychology, and many other social science disciplines using advocacy, compassion and de-escalation and crisis intervention skills to support those with unmet needs in a culturally responsive manner. They work as a team, and collaborate with other local, regional, state and federal programs to identify gaps in existing resources for community members. The primary focus of work is crisis intervention, resource referral, and follow-up; this work is conducted in community settings such as health care organizations, businesses, homes, public spaces and at social service agencies.
Distinguishing Characteristics: The On-Call Crisis Responder II is the journey-level position within the Crisis Responder job series. This classification is reserved for those who hold an independent clinical practice license from the State of Washington Department of Health. An employee in the On-Call Crisis Responder I will move to the On-Call Crisis Responder II classification when they are able to demonstrate that they have become independently licensed by the Washington State Department of Health.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Master's Degree in social work, sociology, psychology, human development or other related field.
- Experience: 1 year of paid experience in a health care setting, including public health or behavioral health.
Licenses and Other Requirements:
- Must be a licensed independent social worker, mental health counselor, or marriage and family therapist as defined by WAC 246-8
- Valid Washington State Driver's License, or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Prefer American Safety Health Institute (ASHI) Healthcare provider CPR/AED/first aid certification, or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
- Ability to conduct suicide/homicide risk assessments and safety planning, or the ability to obtain training within 90 days of hire.
- Paid experience working with older adults and/or adults with disabilities is highly desirable.

Job Summary
The program assistant supports and assists with programs, facilities, services, and events within Parks and Community Services (PCS) and serves as a primary customer service agent.
This assignment is for a seasonal, ongoing, non-benefited on-call program assistant, to support year-round community building events including Lunar New Year, Dia de Los Muertos, Outdoor Summer Movie Series, Celebrate Kirkland July 4th Parade, Harvest Festival, and many other events hosted by PCS, plus the LED screen rental program. This position is anticipated to begin in February and be ongoing with hours varying, usually 15- 40 hours per week depending on need and is not to exceed 1040 hours per year. Most work will be done Monday-Friday at Kirkland City Hall, with occasional weekend or evening shifts primarily for events. The on-call program assistant must be available to work July 4 and the days immediately preceding and following the holiday.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, the capacity to prioritize tasks and work on a variety of projects with competing deadlines. Candidates should have the ability to be adaptable to new situations, ideas, and challenges and must be able to take initiative and work proactively. Must be self-motivated and work well as part of a supportive team.
This position will work closely with the Community Building Events team to help plan and carry out multiple events. Primary tasks include purchasing, vendor and parade entry support, volunteer recruitment and record keeping, marketing and outreach support, LED screen operation and other administrative functions.
The on-call program assistant is the primary contact for vendors, contractors, and volunteers to ensure logistical needs as well as contract terms and conditions are met.
The program assistant also serves as the on-site liaison for several events, facilitating the delivery and set-up of event equipment such as tables, chairs, pop-up canopies, marketing materials, audio-visual equipment and other supplies.

- Knowledge of basic office procedures.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: High School Graduate or G.E.D.
- Experience: 2 years of customer service. 1 year administrative support experience working in recreation, environmental, social, leisure, or education services. 6 months of experience working with volunteers, youth, or older adults.
- Or: In place of the above requirements, the incumbent may possess any combination of relevant education and experience which would demonstrate the individual's knowledge, skill, and ability to proficiently perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above.
Licenses and Other Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Washington State driver's license.
- Must possess or obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 6 months of hire.
- 2 years of cashiering or bookkeeping experience preferred.

Physical Demands and Working Environment:
Work is performed primarily in an office or community center setting and outdoors. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. At times work will be a combination of indoor office environment and outdoors in all types of weather conditions. May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
