With the increasing demand for sleep services, our program continues to develop a regional approach within the Saint Alphonsus Health System. The qualified Physician will show evidence of comprehensive assessment skills, expert clinical skills and problem-solving abilities and commit to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care.
Specific duties include but are not limited to the following: conduct follow-up evaluations for patients referred for Sleep consultation; follow-through on physician's plan of care; order & interpret appropriate diagnostic testing and labs; prescribe appropriate treatment and conduct patient education; aid in clinic phone triage and referral triage; assist in prescription refills and general clinic coverage when other providers are not in clinic.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Board certified or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment in Sleep Medicine
- Experience practicing the full spectrum of sleep medicine
- Ability to obtain: Idaho and Oregon medical licensure; valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho and Oregon Board of Pharmacy and DEA; and granting of privileges at SARMC-Boise, SAMC-Nampa, SAMC-Ontario and SAMC-Baker City as needed
