JOB DESCRIPTION
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE FROM INCEPTION TO BENCH TRIAL
The ideal candidate will demonstrate significant litigation experience across all phases of the litigation process, including depositions, motion practice, arbitration and mediation, and both bench and jury trials.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a caseload of Ohio subrogation matters from intake to resolution.
- Draft and file complaints, motions, pleadings, and discovery.
- Conduct legal research and prepare case evaluations and strategy reports.
- Attend hearings, case management conferences, arbitrations, depositions and trials as needed.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and unrepresented parties
- Work collaboratively with clients, experts, and support staff to move cases efficiently and effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- License to practice law in Ohio, in good standing.
- 3-6 years of civil litigation experience involving insurance or subrogation preferred
- Proficient in Ohio Rules of Civil Procedure and local court rules.
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
