• Install drywall repair patches as needed prior to finishing.
• Complete drywall repairs and touch-ups to meet company quality standards.
• Read and work from punch lists and perform walkthrough assessments to identify required repairs or corrections.
• Apply multiple coats of compound to seams, corners, and fasteners.
• Identify and correct surface imperfections prior to final finishes.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas on job sites.
• Travel to various project locations across Indiana and Ohio as required.
• Document completed repairs and work performed with proper job documentation.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding job progress and site conditions.
• Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a drywall finisher.
• Ability to read and complete punch list items and perform work assessments.
• Experience installing drywall patches and completing repair work.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable personal vehicle for travel between job sites.
• Ability to properly document repairs and complete required work reports.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• OSHA 10- OSHA 30 is a plus
• Experience working on active construction projects.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work overhead for extended periods.

Travel:

This is a traveling position supporting projects throughout Indiana and Ohio.

Position Summary

The Directional Drill Locator is essential to the precision and safety of underground drilling projects. This role focuses on determining the exact location and depth of drilling operations to meet strict project specifications. You will provide real-time data to drilling crews, utilizing advanced technology to optimize efficiency and minimize environmental impact.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Damage Prevention: Ensure the protection of existing underground facilities by accurately tracking drill heads.
• Safety Leadership: Maintain a constant focus on safety and strictly adhere to all guidelines and PPE requirements.
• Utility Verification: Verify all underground mark-outs and existing utilities before and during drilling operations.
• Real-Time Adjustments: Work closely with project managers and crews to provide immediate data and operational adjustments.
• Equipment Operation: Successfully operate locating equipment to the satisfaction of construction supervision.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Technical Proficiency: Expert use of locating equipment to track drill heads with high precision.
• Communication: Strong verbal skills to collaborate effectively with drilling teams and convey critical data in real-time.

Physical Requirements & Work Conditions

• Environment: Must be willing to work in an all-weather environment (heat, rain, cold).
• Travel: Ability to travel throughout multiple work sites as required by the project schedule.

Education & Experience

• Industry Knowledge: A solid working knowledge of underground construction is required.
• Specific Tracking Experience: Hands-on experience with Vermeer F2 or equivalent trackers is preferred.
• Licensing: Valid driver’s license is required; a CDL Class A with Tanker Endorsement is highly preferred.
