Job Summary

The Kirkland Parks and Community Services Department is seeking Recreation Attendant staff for the North Kirkland Community Center. This position acts as on-site City representative for recreation programs, activities and rentals. Performs miscellaneous clerical, and registration tasks. Perform minor maintenance and cleaning as needed. Position collects fees, maintains records, sets up and takes down equipment, tables and chairs. May be responsible for opening and closing facilities and supervising customers when full time staff is off site. Responsible for providing outstanding customer service to patrons in all environments.

The role of the Recreation Attendant is to provide outstanding customer service and assist in providing operational support to recreation programs, facilities, and events within Parks and Community Services. Recreation Attendants serve as the on-site City representative and may work at City facilities, athletic fields, school gymnasiums, City parks, and/or off-site program locations. Recreation Attendants provide operational support including preparing spaces, assisting in leading and monitoring activities, and performing clerical work. Recreation Attendants aged 18 or older may work without on-site supervision.

Recreation Attendants may be assigned to:

  • Programs, such as youth or adult sports.
  • Facilities, such as North Kirkland Community Center, Peter Kirk Community Center, City Hall, or Heritage Hall.
  • Events, such as festivals or special events taking place in Kirkland parks or City facilities.

Distinguishing Characteristics: The Recreation Attendant is an entry-level position that assists with programs, facilities, and events that the Recreation Lead or other recreation staff oversees. This position may report to Program Coordinators and/or Recreation Supervisors.

Wednesdays, February-June, 9:00-12:00pm. Introductory preschool program for ages 2-4 at the North Kirkland Community Center. Lead a play-based class building social, cognitive, and language skills through art, science, sensory play, circle time, STEAM, and early literacy. Children attend independently.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Good verbal, written, and telephone communication skills are required.
  • Ability to interact courteously with the public to acknowledge both compliments and complaints.

Minimum Qualifications:

Licenses and Other Requirements:

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Must have or be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certificate within 90 days of hire.
  • May be required to possess a Washington State driver's license and submit a driving abstract, depending on area of assignment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds and use stairs.

Physical Demands and Working Environment: Work may be performed in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings, including City facilities such as community centers, City parks, Lake Washington School District facilities and off-site locations. Work settings may involve high levels of noise, many people, adverse weather conditions, uneven terrain, standing for extended periods of time, and interruptions. Desk assignments are done at a computer terminal.

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years of proven experience in logistics vendor management, logistics operations, or logistics procurement. Prior experience in developing and managing marketplace or e-commerce logistics solutions is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning (Primary Focus)

  • Design, execute, and continuously refine recruiting strategies to attract skilled trades, field leadership, and professional staff in a competitive construction labor market.
  • Own the full-cycle recruitment process, including workforce planning, job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, selection, onboarding, and offboarding.

  • Identify training needs and coordinate professional development initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, including management or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated success in high-volume or hard-to-fill recruiting environments.
  • Experience negotiating and administering medical and employee benefits programs.

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is looking for an Experienced Product Lifecycle Process Engineer to support software installation and loading processes at our Everett, Washington location.

Position Overview:

Seeking an Experienced Product Lifecycle Process Engineer to support the installation and validation of loadable software on aircraft and in lab or production environments. This role collaborates with Design Engineers and Production Engineers to ensure procedures meet hardware/software requirements and safety standards, and to deliver clear, repeatable loading procedures, robust troubleshooting, and up-to-date user guides. The ideal candidate possesses hands-on Airplane Systems experience, strong technical writing skills, and a commitment to operational reliability.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Install loadable software on aircraft platforms and bench test environments in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Develop clear, step-by-step loading procedures and instructions for both on-aircraft and bench scenarios.
  • Collaborate closely with Design Engineers for each system to ensure loading procedures align with hardware/software requirements and safety standards.
  • Validate and verify loading procedures through testing, design reviews, and field trials; capture results and implement improvements.
  • Maintain and update user guides, procedure documents, and training materials as software and hardware evolve.
  • Troubleshoot loading issues, document root causes, perform corrective actions, and verify effectiveness.
  • Ensure compatibility with regulatory, airline-specific safety, security, and reliability requirements.
  • Provide training materials or sessions for technicians and engineers as needed; lead or participate in hands-on training.
  • Maintain change control, versioning, and traceability for all loading procedures.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and safety analyses related to software loading activities.
  • Support incident investigations related to loading activities and implement preventive actions.
  • Ensure proper documentation and alignment software integrity practices where applicable.

Work Authorization:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.Β The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Everett, WA location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): Β 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Knowledge of software version control, builds, and software configuration management
  • Familiarity with avionics test equipment, load devices, and data logging tools
  • Experience writing and maintaining Engineering procedures and documents
  • Understand product requirements relevant to certification, configuration, data and data management and engineering processes
  • Knowledge of ARINC loadable software standards
  • Knowledge of BCA software loading procedures
  • Familiarity with aircraft system design and development
  • Familiarity with aircraft networks and architecture

The Payloads organization within Boeing Commercial Aircraft is seeking Payloads Design Engineers (Associate or Experienced) to join our teams in Everett, WA.

The Payloads Organization is responsible for everything you see when you fly; and much of which you don’t.

The Interiors of the airplane, along with the cargo compartments, exterior markings, associated systems, and cabin safety all make up Payloads. We are how our airline customers fulfill their mission and represent their brand and shape how the public experiences flight.

  • Leads or assist in developing, integrating, and documenting interior payload system requirements to establish the component/system design

  • Leads or assists in developing, maintaining, and modifying interior payload system and component designs, using design tools and/or other design methods

  • Communicates and collaborates with the value stream which includes multiple engineering organizations, production operations, supply chain, customers, and leadership

  • Communications, in-person will frequently be required due to production-facing responsibilities

  • Leads or assists performance, integration and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications

  • Supports problem-solving efforts that include multiple disciplines and stakeholders, such as production support (build/installation)

  • Reviews engineering for soundness of designs, quality, producibility, etc.

  • Documents design/system requirements, design intent, lessons learned, etc. for historical and training purposes

  • Works cross functionally with broader team members within an IPT (Integrated Product Team) by making or help making timely sound decisions to carry the projects forward

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 2+ years of experience in engineering, including design, integration, and/or certification
