A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. Duties
During the course of their careers, Secret Service Police carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:
- Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
- Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.

Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required.
