The Advanced Concept Engineer (ACE) provides strategic technical leadership to draw on L3Harris' technical competencies to meet the business needs of L3Harris and its customers.

Key Responsibilities

Overview

The Building Engineer reports to the Lead Engineer and maintains a working relationship with and takes direction from all Property Managers in his/her area for issues affecting their properties. Issues may range from tenant improvement work to preventive maintenance and repair of all building systems. This must be done in a manner that not only protects, but also maximizes the value of the property. The Building Engineer must exhibit outstanding client service and professionalism in all interactions with tenants and RMR staff. Teamwork and collaboration are critical to this position's success. The portfolio currently consists of a large single tenant office building and a small mixed-use office building.



Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and log all HVAC and MEP equipment under the direction of their supervisor.
  • Complete tenant service requests, and develop and maintain positive tenant relations through prompt, courteous response to tenant requests.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment, plumbing and electrical systems, as directed by their supervisor. Duties include, but are not limited to changing filters, coil cleaning, greasing motors, replacing light bulbs & ballasts, inspecting/adjusting belts, and regular inspections of equipment
  • Maintain computerized or manual equipment logs that detail preventive work performed.
  • Clean and paint equipment and surrounding areas relating to equipment and equipment rooms.
  • Assist in ordering stock and inventory of parts and supplies, as needed.
  • Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer concerns.

  • Assist with review of tenant improvement plans. Inspect active construction areas and confirm contractors are following all building rules and regulations.Coordinate fire alarm and sprinkler shutdown and drain downs with contractors as needed.
  • Coordinate all quarterly fire alarm testing and maintenance with building vendor.
  • Maintain and operate life safety/fire systems
  • Perform carpentry and snow removal, if necessary.
  • Take meter readings on all meters and equipment as directed by their supervisor.
  • Perform minor repairs on doors, hardware, lock, windows, ceilings, and floors
  • Troubleshoot, evaluate and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities.
  • Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility and ground maintenance.
  • Inspect buildings, grounds and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and report to management
  • Inspect new installation for compliance with building codes and safety regulations
  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives, as related to building operations and practice safe work habits
  • Daily communication with property management, engineering staff, security, tenants and contractors/vendors is vital.

General Maintenance and Operation Duties:

  • Understand OSHA guidelines and how to ensure that all equipment is maintained to guidelines/standards.
  • Read and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Convey thoughts and recommendations orally and/or in writing to supervisors, contractors and others in order to resolve building-related problems.
  • Operate and use necessary manual and power-driven tools.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of building maintenance experience or commensurate experience in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
  • HVAC or electrical technical school training preferred.
  • Applicable military experience or other related operations experience will be considered including power plants, multi-family, hotels, hospitals, facilities, etc.
  • Experience with automated building management systems
  • Ability to interpret mechanical, electrical blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Must be team oriented and a problem solver.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Manage own time on a daily basis with little supervision

SUMMARY
The ME/IE Manager is the β€œsite technology leader” of Jabil’s manufacturing processes and systems, which is designed to deliver superior performance and operational efficiency. The ME/IE Manager supports Operation’s business development effort with current and potential customers, and development / implementation of both site a global ME/IE strategies. Responsible for the establishment of optional manufacturing methods and processes for the organization’s production lines. Lead and motivate a large group of Engineers whose primary responsibility is to define and implement complete manufacturing processes. Provides ongoing review of the effective utilization of equipment, production methods, equipment layout, personnel, and material flow. Provide exceptional support to customers, team members, and shareholders.

Job Title: Senior Scientist, Systems Engineer Job Code: 32411 Job Location: Melbourne, Florida Job Schedule: 9/80 (Every other Friday off) Job Description: The Advanced Concept Engineer (ACE) provides strategic technical leadership to draw on L3Harris' technical competencies to meet the business needs of L3Harris and its customers.

The ACE is the technical interface between L3Harris and our customers’ engineering staff, supporting the Business Development staff in the creation of new business opportunities.

The successful ACE will engage with customer, engineering, operations, and management personnel to define and document the customer’s CONOPS and requirements, perform trade studies, engage L3Harris Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to architect an affordable solution carrying acceptable risk, and lead resulting proposal efforts.

The ACE considers all of the needs, resources, and constraints, including the customer mission, budget limitations, technical preferences, physics boundaries, and the political climate, in a manner that creates trust in the ACE as well as L3Harris.

During program execution, the ACE is the technical advocate and voice of the customer during program reviews.

This role requires experience in systems engineering, system architecture development, competitive assessment, project engineering management and development program execution.

The Advanced Concept Engineer should be a subject matter expert in multiple technical domains with an entrepreneurial background.

This individual will work closely with business development and senior management to respond to customer needs with technical presentations, white papers and proposals; requests for proposals, information and broad agency announcements; and provide market and subject matter expert guidance to business strategy and existing development efforts.

Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with the ability to work cross-functionally between a large engineering enterprise and external partners is required.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience.

Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.

Demonstrated experience working with EW systems, including signals analysis, hardware design approaches, industry best practices, and techniques against adversary systems.

Previous experience executing DoD/government programs Proven technical business development skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excels in communication, adeptly translating complex technical concepts for diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders and cross-functional teams Experience with functional and physical architecture development Experience collaborating in a team environment Ability to work autonomously and with others to resolve technical issues Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
