The main purpose of the Surgical Technician is to provide quality patient care according to Cambridge Health Alliance, the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses, and the Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates standards of nursing practice and the Surgical Technologist role expectations. The role of the Surgical Technologist is to assist the surgical provider and circulating nurse through preparation and assistance with surgical procedures.


Surgical technologists prepare surgical equipment, provide equipment to surgeons during surgery, maintain the integrity of the sterile environment within the operating room, and complete other tasks as appropriate. Clinical leadership at Cambridge Health Alliance is manifested by personal commitment, accountability, and initiative in clinical practice. Patients are our priority. The surgical technologist assists patients in reaching their health care goals.


Cross coverage between One Cabot and Everett Hospital is required for training and low census. On-call responsibilities as needed in Everett for nights, weekends, and holidays.



Qualifications


Work Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of current surgical technologist experience required


Job Requirements:

  • American Heart Association BLS certification and Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certifications are required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • A graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program is required.
  • Successful completion of Periop101 during CHA orientation



Pay Range: $27.60 - $45.95 per hour
