Job Details Our client is hiring a highly motivated and industrious attorney to work in the firm’s Estate & Trust Litigation; Estate Planning and Administration practice group.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Draft substantive complaints, motions, oppositions, correspondence and other pleadings for contested matters.
Research and prepare accompanying memorandums for various probate issues.
Draft and respond to interrogatories, subpoenas and document requests.
Attend meetings and court hearings.
Draft estate planning documents, including but not limited to, wills, revocable trusts, durable powers of attorney, health care proxies and irrevocable life insurance trusts.
Establish durable power of attorney and medical durable power of attorney.
Work with a financial professional to find ways to reduce and avoid estate tax when possible.
Find ways to avoid the probate court process.
Set up trusts to protect client assets.
Administer estates of varying sizes with strong paralegal assistance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: At least 5-10 years’ of substantive experience in estate planning and estate administration.
Experience in estate planning and administration required.
Experience in Orphans’ Court litigation preferred Experience in succession/business planning preferred Excellent academic credentials as well as strong organization, writing, and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail in all work, along with the ability to manage multiple files and to prioritize workloads to effectively meet all deadlines.
