Key Responsibilities

Perform a variety of secretarial and clerical duties

Open and review mail; log attorney time as needed

Enter attorney time sheets into the system daily

Answer phones, provide non-legal information when appropriate, route calls, and take detailed messages

Transcribe dictation using BigHand and draft correspondence for attorney approval

Prepare legal documents as required

Maintain and organize case files; coordinate with file clerk as needed

Schedule depositions, meetings, hearings, and appointments

Assist with emergency courthouse or law office deliveries as needed

Coordinate travel arrangements and hotel reservations

Maintain attorney calendar/diary system

Perform additional administrative duties as required

Qualifications

3–5 years of civil defense litigation experience (required)

Casualty and/or Health Care defense experience (preferred)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Strong typing skills and experience with dictation systems

Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment
