The Work You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Set up and operate CNC Lathes and automated machining cells (DMG Mori EcoTurn 450, DMG Mori NLX 2500/700, Hardinge, Takisawa)
- Prepare fixtures, load tooling, and set offsets for production runs
- Load, run, and make basic edits to CNC programs at the machine
- Run production and repeat jobs while maintaining quality standards
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision tools
- Adjust feeds, speeds, and offsets to maintain tolerances and part quality
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop travelers, and work instructions
- Verify prior operations are complete before starting new processes
- Troubleshoot basic machining or program issues as they arise

Senior / Master ElectricianBased onsite at Rocket Lab in Long Beach, California, the Electrician is responsible for electrical maintenance, infrastructure upgrades, and electrical improvement projects at Rocket Lab's headquarters and Engine Development Center.
What You'll Get To Do:
- Serve as the primary electrical subject matter expert for HQ and the Engine Development Center.
- Plan, scope, and execute electrical infrastructure projects including power distribution, panel upgrades, machine installs, lighting systems, and equipment tie-ins.
- Coordinate directly with internal customers (Manufacturing, Engineering, EHS, Production, IT) to define electrical requirements, project timelines, shutdown windows, and commissioning plans.
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and upgrade of building electrical systems (120V480V, 3-phase systems).
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and construction drawings.
- Install and modify conduit systems; proficiently bend conduit from " to 1 " using manual tube benders (EMT preferred; rigid and flexible conduit experience a plus).
- Size conductors, breakers, transformers, and distribution equipment in accordance with NEC and local code.
- Support equipment installations including procurement, layout planning, power drops, disconnects, and final energization.
- Manage electrical work orders through JIRA and prioritize based on production impact and safety risk.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with NEC, OSHA, and local building code requirements.
- Provide oversight of contractors performing electrical work and verify work meets Rocket Lab standards.
