Every customer is different; and every customer has a unique ask so following specific procedures and instructions while operating machinery and often times sitting or standing at a workstation for periods of time is required.
All of these tasks are performed in a clean room environment which is temperature and humidity controlled.
The Test portion of the role is responsible for performing production test routines on GPD products to ensure tested units meet performance criteria.
Specific operations include electrical measurement of photodiodes, reporting of data, organization of material batches, and reporting any concerns to production management.
It will encompasses all responsibilities of the Test Operator but is also responsible for ensuring that test stations are working to specification, can troubleshoot issues, and performs basic calibration routines.
The technician also works with engineering for implementation of new specifications or procedures.
This full-time, non-exempt role will be located in Salem, NH and will report to the Director of Operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Complete detailed and precise mechanical assembly of semiconductor assemblies requiring dexterity in handling small tools and parts.
Mount, align, and perform in-process testing to ensure final assemblies meet prescribed specifications.
Create electrical interconnects using gold wire bonding tools.
Demonstrate the ability to read and work from assembly drawings, verbal instructions, and engineering sketches.
Uses precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance with dimensional and electrical specifications and tolerances.
Perform electrical testing of optoelectronic devices, including handling of ESD sensitive, small, delicate parts.
Cleanroom operations required for some products.
Summarize and control lot data as presented with product to quality for inspection after testing.
Excellent attention to detail required, the ability to notice changes in results and abnormalities and report them is essential.
Work for prolonged periods under stereozoom microscope.

A Day in the Life of the Boat Mechanic
In this role, you’ll serve as a lead mechanic and technical expert responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining marine engines while supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy marine service department. You’ll work on a large fleet of boats, collaborate with specialized technicians, and help mentor junior mechanics. The Integrated Systems Department supports Raytheon by providing world-class weapon systems engineering. Domain expertise includes radar systems, effector systems, battle management, command and control, network design, battlespace integration, and interoperability for both domestic and international customers.
You will work alongside motivated engineers who are responsible for conducting systems engineering studies and trades; supporting system requirements definition and analysis; and contributing to algorithm development, integration, test, and evaluation.
What You Will Do
- Provide technical oversight and management for a variety of Systems Engineering efforts
- Concept and requirements development (including decomposition and flowdown) within a mature product-line
- Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development and design
- Algorithm optimization and development
- Multi-disciplinary development efforts across the kill-chain for an Air and Missile Defense System

Job Description: Provide Components Engineering support on component selection analysis for new design and potential Diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages (DMSMS) issues.
Responsible for Components Engineering efforts in obsolescence, standardization, engineering data definition, preparation of part standards and procurement control requirements, quality problem resolution and process improvements.
Serves as liaison between part vendors and procurement, customers and subcontractors.
Activities include resolving obsolescence issues, counterfeit avoidance, generating customer reports, part substitution, and second source part qualification, preparation of part procurement specifications and resolving development and production parts problems and issues.
Required Experience: Active secret preferred but willing to consider inactive clearance.

What You Will Do
Responsible for test strategy for all aspects of the program and defines metrics to gauge progress.
Responsible for defining or optimizing test environments and requirements to ensure on-time deliveries.
Responsible for interface and coordination with internal and external organizations on test strategy, coordination, execution, and reporting activities.
Extensive interaction with Program Managers, Directorate Leads, Chief Engineers, and technical subject matter experts (SMEs).
Coordinate with other program disciplines to draw on their SMEs to address emergent issues across the systems, software, and hardware domains.
Represent the interests of the Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) discipline on the program.
Interface with the customer community on a regular basis to share test status, issues, and address programmatic concerns.
Knowledge base for Model Based Systems Engineering and how to use this in Integration and Test for test strategy.
International travel up to 20%, Regular travel between Raytheon locations in Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire is required.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
Experience with formal system test activities, including ground tests, flight tests, system verification, and system integration check out events
