Job SummaryThe Janitorial Manager is responsible for the supervision, inspection, and control of all custodial and related services associated within assigned contract. Specific responsibilities for the custodial manager will be determined by client expectations and at the discretion of the Director of Operations.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Properly allocate work responsibilities among subordinates. Supervises and coordinates the work activities of assigned areas (includes common areas, Service hallways, Food court, etc.) Knowledge of contract requirements and creation of schedules to maintain properly skilled staffing levels to satisfy those schedules. Approves vacation time, overtime and timecards. Ability to train custodians on work-related equipment. Supervises, motivates, disciplines, and evaluates staff.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Counsel and coordinate with customer management representatives on all matters relating to services performed.
Resolves clients' concerns, and performs inspections for satisfactory job performance.
Meet periodically with subordinates to review status of various elements of facility services and to institute corrective measures for any deficiencies found.
Monitors supply use inventory. Ensures all equipment in proper working condition.
Perform any additional duties as required, including providing hands-on-cleaning if required.
Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education and/or Experience):
Strong organizational and planning skills, responsiveness, attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.
Minimum of five to ten years of recent experience in working supervision of custodial and related employees performing cleaning functions in major facilities.
Must have general hands on knowledge of both routine nightly and daytime facility cleaning and related services.
Working hours mostly weekdays but may also include evenings and weekends as well as on-call for emergency situations.
High School education or equivalent preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check, including criminal history.

The EH&S Professional II will provide both leadership and tactical support to the Environmental, Health and Safety programs at the Columbus manufacturing location. Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)
- Identify and champion impactful initiatives seeking continuous improvement in safety performance and environmental compliance
- Establish a site high consequence program to manage severe incidents with fatality (SIF) and ensure flawless execution of site life critical programs
- Gauge and correct the execution of site EHS programs through inspections, audits, SMATs, cold-eye reviews
- Coach, mentor, and support the development and guidance of line management on EHS topics
- Proactively drive awareness and communicates best practices related to Safety, Health and Environment, promoting an autonomous EHS culture
- As required, meet with regulatory agencies
- Partner with other key EHS team members during routine calls
- Oversee the filing of all internal, corporate, and required government reporting relating to regulatory compliance
- Maintains an EHS compliance calendar, audits compliance system routinely, and ensure compliance gaps are corrective
- Maintain site required ISO certifications
- Ensure compliance with site permits and plans (indirect discharge, SPCC, SWPPP, Air)
- Manage and ensure compliance with the waste management program (hazardous, non-hazardous, and universal)
- Become a technical expert on site process technologies
- Help operations navigate complex regulations and company standards.
- Establish both a short term and long term EHS strategy for the site in conjunction with guidance from the Plant Manager and CCC/Chemviron Center of Excellence
- This EHS strategy shall be monitored as a KPI across the site and the incumbent will establish accountability channels to ensure that all levels of the organization delivers EHS results
- This individual shall also participate and lead cultural transformation across the site to achieve sustainable results
- Work closely with the Regional Center of Excellence leaders to verify quality of programs and processes via audit and self-assessment tools
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.), or equivalent from four-year college or university is required (preferably in an Environmental Management discipline, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering)
- A master’s degree or equivalent is preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is required
- 3-5 years of working knowledge and expertise in Environmental regulations and maintaining compliance with pertinent regulations is required
- 3-5 years of strong EHS and in OSHA/EPA regulations and reporting experience is required

Coordination and Field Alignment:
- · Coordinate with operations, and project management to align training with current project scopes and construction sequencing.
- · Support alignment between design intent and field execution through technical instruction.
- · Incorporate project controls concepts such as quantity tracking, sequencing, and scope awareness into training delivery.
- · Adjust training content based on field conditions, project requirements, and operational needs.
Safety Integration:
- · Integrate safety principles into technical training as part of proper planning and execution.
- · Reinforce hazard awareness related to excavation, equipment operation, and underground work as it applies to correct construction methods.
- · Promote consistent field execution by emphasizing planning, coordination, and adherence to approved construction practices.
Training Records and Documentation:
- · Maintain accurate training records, attendance, and documentation.
- · Coordinate training schedules with operations and training leadership.
- · Update training materials to reflect current construction practices and project requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- · Minimum of 7 years of experience in underground utility construction
- · Experience with micro-trenching, shallow trenching, and deep cut excavation
- · Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- · Experience installing underground conduit, vaults, and related structures
- · Familiarity with municipal standards and inspection requirements
- · Ability to instruct adult learners in classroom and field environments
- · Ability to maintain classroom structure and control
- · Strong communication and coordination skills
- · Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
- · Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- · Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field
- · Coursework or experience in adult learning or workforce development
- · Experience with project controls, quantity tracking, or cost reporting
- · Previous experience providing technical instruction or mentoring
- · Experience in telecommunications or utility construction
- · OSHA 500 Construction certification
