JOB SUMMARY
A Quality Technician II ensures the products meet the required quality standards and specifications. You train Quality Technician Is in our processes and how to use proper inspection techniques. You begin to do complex inspections and assemblies. The role is critical in maintaining the integrity of the manufacturing process and delivering high-quality components.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reads and interprets engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand inspection requirements.
- Performs visual and dimensional inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Checks parts for conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
- Identifies and documents any non-conformities or deviations and discusses them with a Quality Technician III.
- Maintains detailed records of inspection results, including measurements, observations, and any deviations from quality standards.
- Assembles components when required.
- Deburrs any sharp edges that call for an edge break.
- Cleans parts to customer-supplied requirements.
- Fills out or checks inspection reports to ensure proper documentation of all quality-related data.

The Manufacturing Engineer I will support the implementation of technology and process solutions within Generac’s fabrication and paint departments. Working under the guidance of senior engineering staff, you will help bridge the gap between design and production by assisting with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) reviews, tracking equipment performance (OEE), and helping optimize production flow on the shop floor.
Responsibilities:
- Process Support: Assist in the layout of production areas and the definition of manufacturing processes. Help select and implement tooling and equipment for capacity and improvement projects.
- Design Collaboration: Support New Product Introductions (NPI) by performing basic DFM reviews on sheet metal components to ensure they can be efficiently fabricated and welded.
- Data & Documentation: Maintain and update process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and policies that support sheet metal fabrication value streams.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in Lean and demand-driven initiatives to improve flexibility and speed. Assist in identifying "waste" within material and information flows.
- Shop Floor Engagement: Work directly with shop floor personnel to learn existing manufacturing methods and help deploy standard Generac tools and methodologies.
- Performance Tracking: Help monitor and report on OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and other key metrics to identify areas for operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology
- 1-3 years related experience in the Engineering function within a similar working environment (Internship or Co-op experience in fabrication or sheet metal is highly preferred).
Preferred Skills:
- Basic understanding of Sheet Metal Fabrication Equipment (bending, laser cutting, welding).
- Strong communication skills and a desire to work in a "hands-on" production environment.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD and PTC Creo

A&C is seeking a *Licensed Civil Engineer* to join our Civil Engineering Department at our office located in Watertown, NY.
The successful candidate will work with our Civil Engineering team working on designs related to land planning, site, roadway, and utility infrastructure design. Being a relatively smaller design firm, this position will also include such duties as construction inspection, AutoCAD drafting, project design, preliminary design markups, design calculations, report preparation, client meetings and board meeting presentations. Within this position you will work managing projects under the general guidance of a principal.
This position will require fieldwork travel.

· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology required
· Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.)
· 6 - 12 years of qualifying civil engineering design experience
· Proven technical background in civil engineering
· Ability to develop proposals to help obtain future work
· Successful experience in site design, roadway design for subdivisions and local roads, drainage analysis and design, development of plans, specifications and cost estimates.
· Ability to produce contract documents and project management experience
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to work efficiently with team members and clients.

A&C is committed to offering fair and equitable compensation. The pay range listed is an approximation of our good faith effort to provide an anticipated wage range. The specific salary offered is dependent on the candidate’s relevant experience, education, certifications, and licensure.
