Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paralegal with a strong focus on contract law to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a law firm environment and extensive experience supporting attorneys in the drafting, review, and management of contracts. This role requires strong analytical skills, precision, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced legal setting.
Key Responsibilities
· Draft, review, and revise a wide range of contracts, including vendor agreements, service agreements, NDAs, and other legal documents
· Assist attorneys with contract negotiations and revisions
· Conduct legal research related to contract law, regulations, and compliance requirements
· Analyze contract terms to identify risks, inconsistencies, and legal issues
· Maintain and organize contract files, ensuring accurate documentation and version control
· Track key contract deadlines, renewals, and obligations
· Prepare summaries and reports of contract provisions for attorneys and clients
· Communicate with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding contract matters
· Support due diligence efforts and audits involving contractual agreements
Qualifications
· Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience in a law firm setting
· Demonstrated experience in contract law, including drafting and review
· Paralegal certificate or equivalent legal training preferred
· Strong understanding of legal terminology and contract principles
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
· Proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills
· Experience with contract management systems
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
· Familiarity with corporate or commercial law practices
