The Director of Benefit Compliance plays a critical role in supporting MJ's clients by navigating the complex landscape of employee benefits regulations. This role serves as a trusted expert and advisor on ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and other applicable compliance matters, offering proactive guidance, creating tools and resources, and supporting MJ teams in delivering an exceptional client experience. The Director of Benefit Compliance ensures MJ remains at the forefront of healthcare compliance by monitoring regulatory changes, educating internal stakeholders and clients, and developing scalable compliance processes and tools.
Client Compliance Support & Consulting
- Serve as the subject matter expert on benefit compliance topics, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, Section 125, and other federal/state regulations.
- Provide proactive guidance and day-to-day support to clients on a wide range of compliance questions.
- Assist with compliance reviews and audits, offering actionable insights and support.
- Partner with clients and vendors to support ACA reporting, RxDC, PCORI filings, and non-discrimination testing.
Compliance Documentation & Tools
- Coordinate essential compliance documents with vendor partners including:
- Compliance Notice Packets
- Custom client forms (e.g., affidavits, certifications)
- Wrap Documents
- Section 125/POP Plan Documents
- Support client agreement processes including Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), Compensation Disclosure Statements (CDS), Service Fee Agreements (SFAs), and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
- Track timelines for required document restatements or updates.
Education & Communication
- Monitor impactful legislation and regulatory changes, and translate updates into client- and team-friendly resources.
- Develop and deliver compliance education through:
- Monthly public webinars
- Targeted email alerts and newsletters
- Internal training sessions and team briefings
- Work with the Employee Benefits Communication team to create templates and guidance materials for clients to use during Open Enrollment or throughout the year.
- Work with the Marketing & Communications team to coordinate, facilitate, (and possibly present) compliance webinars for clients and prospects.
Internal & External Collaboration
- Partner closely with MJ's client service teams to ensure seamless compliance integration in client support.
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional departments to improve compliance offerings.
- Represent MJ in client meetings, vendor discussions, and public forums as a compliance thought leader.
- Assist in evaluating new products, services, or processes for regulatory risk and compliance alignment.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor members of the compliance team, fostering professional growth and skill development.
- Delegate work effectively while maintaining quality and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Establish performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct goal-setting conversations with team members.

Education
- Bachelor's Degree in the field of Compensation & Benefits, Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or Healthcare Administration
- Master's in Human Resources, Public Health, Healthcare Law, or Business Administration preferred
Knowledge & Experience
- 710+ years of progressive experience in employee benefits, healthcare compliance, or legal/regulatory roles
- Experience supporting self-funded and fully insured health plans
- Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying federal and state regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, MHPAEA) to benefit administration.
- Proven client-facing experience in a consultative or advisory capacity
- Experience managing or mentoring compliance, benefits, or HR teams
- Familiarity with vendor partnerships related to ACA reporting, RxDC, non-discrimination testing, or HIPAA tools
- Previous experience creating or overseeing compliance documentation and workflows (e.g., Wrap Docs, 125 plans, BAAs)
Technical Functions
- Interpret and apply regulations such as ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and Section 125 to client benefit plans
- Coordinate creation of compliance documents and agreements with vendor partners, including Wrap Docs, 125 plans, BAAs, and NDAs
- Oversee client compliance processes such as 5500 filings, PCORI fees, ACA reporting, and RxDC submissions
- Conduct compliance reviews, manage non-discrimination testing, and support remediation efforts
- Communicate regulatory updates and guidance through written alerts, webinars, and client meetings
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to implement compliance tools, dashboards, and reporting processes

A Meat Cutter's responsibilities include:

- Performs daily safety inspection of forklift and work area.

- Proficient with all material handling and packaging devices including forklifts, pallet jacks and banding tools.
- The ability to understand and follow plant safety rules, such as wearing required PPE (safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, and gloves)
- Able to prioritize tasks and anticipate needs in order to effectively manage time in order to accomplish all tasks.
- Ability to perform other related tasks as assigned.

The Asssitant Beef Shoppe Manager/Meat Cutter will gain the skills, knowledge, and expertise to be considered a successful Beef Shoppe Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Front End - The front end is the final point of contact with our customers. As a cashier or cart clerk, your most important responsibility is to make a positive, friendly and lasting impression on our customers.
Bakery - You will slice, price, package, and display baked goods and ensure product is stocked, rotated, stored properly.
Pharmacy - If you have a passion or interest in helping to provide health-related services, a pharmacy technician may be the perfect position. You will retrieve medications from shelves, count or pour medications, label containers, properly price prescriptions, enter customer data into the computer, keep accurate records, and complete pharmacy related paperwork, as well as maintain security of controlled substances and ensure ordered are placed and supplies are stocked.
Deli/ Carryout Cafe - You will fulfill customer requests for deli and/or prepared foods products (i.e. ready-made meals, packaged salads, pizzas, subs, etc.), slice deli meats/cheeses to order, prepare product for cases, ensure product is properly stored, rotated, and displayed.
General Merchandise -You will ensure that product on the shelves is stocked and ready for customer purchase. You'll also help create and maintain product displays throughout the store, and ensure the backroom is organized and product is properly stored. The General Merchandise department includes first aid items, non-food items and rotating seasonal products as well!

We also feature \"Real Meat Real Butchers\" and if you are a certified meat cutter or apprentice, you would ensure that the best cuts of meat are available to our customers, receive, process, cut, and trim meat products as well as package, tie, wrap, weigh, price and label them to get them ready for our customers to purchase.
Produce - You will ensure our produce departments are stocked, product is properly stored, rotated, watered as needed, process, wrap, slice, weigh, package product to ensure it's ready for our customers to purchase, and fulfill customer orders for fruit or vegetable platters, baskets, etc.
Seafood - You will ensure our seafood departments are stocked and product is properly stored, rotated, weighed, labeled, displayed, fulfill customer requests for product from the seafood case and help answer their seafood questions.

MANUFACTURING SUPERVISOR
GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Manufacturing Supervisor manages all plant operations with overall responsibilities for
production, maintenance, quality, other production-related activities, and shipping to ensure the
goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, to standard, and accurately shipped.
CORE & ESSENTIAL:
TASKS:
- Manages manufacturing staff by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Maintains quality by enforcing organization manufacturing standards.
- Ensures implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures.
- Analyzes production and quality control to detect and correct problems.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintains good working relationship with the union by following the terms of the collective bargaining agreement.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of- the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Flexible to work off-shifts and weekends due to a rotating shift schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
Preferred supervision experience or related field. High school diploma or equivalent required. In
lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and
experience (including military service) may be considered. Ability to read specifications,
schematics and manuals. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and
memos. Ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization. Ability
to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions, and decimals. Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear). Possesses analytical skills, attention to detail, and good communication skills.
Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals with diverse types of people. Must possess
verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work overtime and flexible schedule/shifts.
Maintains a positive attitude and contributes to a positive work environment. Experience
operating a dolly, shrink-wrap machine, pallet jack, forklift and other equipment. Must be
results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite applications and ERP systems. Driving is a
requirement for this position. Therefore, must have the ability to travel domestically via
operating a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver license and driving record which is
acceptable to our insurance provider. Must have a vehicle in good working condition and ensure
it meets all safety, insurance, and legal requirements. The ability to travel by plane and/or
overnight travel may also be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to communicate orally in a clear, concise and effective manner with the vendors, sales
representatives, management, staff, and the public in face-to-face, one-on-one and group settings.
Ability to use a telephone for communication. Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and
punctual attendance at the facility or other designated location. Ability to establish and maintain
effective working relationships with others. Use office equipment such as a personal computer,
copier and facsimile machines. Ability to communicate in writing in a clear, concise and
effective manner. The employee is required to sit, climb, balance, carry, push, pull, reach, and
adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, sit, and stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to climb, traverse and maneuver on equipment and/or ladders while adhering to fall
protection requirements as necessary. The employee must frequently lift, maneuver, and/or pivot
up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift, maneuver and/or pivot over 65 pounds with assistance.
Must wear all required personal protective equipment in designated areas and use necessary care
to avoid placing self and others in an unsafe environment. Hearing and vision required to be
within normal ranges. Ability to accurately distinguish color variation. Read at, above, and
below shoulder height. Sufficient manual dexterity required to operate equipment. Physical
ability to operate dolly, shrink-wrap machine, pallet jack, and/or forklift and all other equipment
utilized in this position. Tolerate inclement weather, including heat and cold. Normal range of
tolerance to household and other types of typical industrial/construction chemicals and solvents.
Must have the ability to travel by plane, operate a motor vehicle, maintain a valid state motor
vehicle driver’s license, and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle driving record. Ability to
occasionally work evenings, weekends, and overnight travel required.
