Position Summary

Peerless-Winsmith is currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The Manufacturing Engineer positively impacts Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost goals of the products produced. The role will interact directly with the Manufacturing and Engineering teams to achieve the most efficient and cost-effective production of quality products, in addition to individually leading transformational initiatives in the manufacturing space. The role is based at the Flowery Branch, GA, location and will report to the Plant Manager.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Β· Leads manufacturing engineering initiatives in the plant that result in better process control, productivity improvement and improved cost position for the company.

Β· Evaluates and improves manufacturing processes & methods such as machining and assembly operations by utilizing a tool kit comprised of machine and process knowledge, tooling, fixturing and CAD/CAM programing.

Β· Leads for the enhancement of manufacturing capabilities in the business in sync with new product designs and acquisitions.

Β· Works with suppliers and production personnel to arrange cost effective purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.

Β· Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and facility layout of equipment and workspace for efficient utilization of equipment and personnel.

Β· Provides engineering guidance and assistance to the manufacturing, assembly, quality assurance and tooling departments.

Β· Must have CNC programming understanding with the aptitude to assist programming and operators with programs and production.


Experience and Education

Β· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering

Β· 3 or more years Engineering experience in industrial manufacturing

Β· Strong organizational, analytical, and inter-personal communication skills

Β· Working knowledge of manufacturing operations, mechanical assembly, ergonomics, and lean tools to execute continuous improvement projects.

Β· Knowledge of CNC Machining, Programing, Fixture Design and Cutting Tools is required.

Β· Experience in leading improvements to manufacturability, cost, and process reliability

Β· Proven experience with Continuous Improvement Lean Methodologies (Six Sigma experience preferred)

Β· Previous experience leading large capital projects preferred.


Technical Skills

Β· Advanced skill with all MS Office products

Β· Proficient with Solid Works or other 3D design software

Β· Proficient with machine programming/CAD/CAM

Position Summary

In this position the Product Manager will be responsible for managing the product strategy and lifecycle of existing products, pricing and margins, new product development, competitive benchmarking, support of the sales field activities and project management for tactical / strategic initiatives. The role is based in the Springville office and will report to the Product Marketing Manager. This position is located in Springville, NY.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing product roadmaps, requirements analysis, competitive benchmarking and lifecycles for new and existing products.
  • Manage marketing initiatives and platforms.
  • Develop and implement physical and digital marketing initiatives.
  • Lead and manage product enhancement initiatives from concept through launch.
  • Develop product positioning and pricing strategies.
  • Develop marketing strategies needed to deliver sales growth, margin, and contribution to profit objectives including channel selection, target account profiles, and demand forecasting.
  • Create sales tools and training materials.
  • Responsible for the project management for specific tactical / strategic initiatives.
  • Work with supply chain and operations functions to analyze and drive decisions in support of key marketing activities.
  • Develop and interpret analytical marketing metrics and data interpretation.
  • Provide direct customer and field sales support.
  • All other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Experience and Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business-related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing.
  • 3-5 years of experience in industrial professional sales or product management.
  • 3+ years of experience in successful strategic planning, management, execution, and analysis of website properties and online media.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience creating content across multiple marketing channels.
  • Experience in general project management, marketing P&L management and product/brand management experience.
  • Experience in marketing communication, positioning or branding work.


Technical Skills

  • Advanced skills with all MS Office products.
  • Strong Presentation Skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing platforms.
  • Product and Industrial understanding.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Travel Required

  • Must be able to travel 10% of the time
