Primary Responsibilities:
Develops, integrates and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.

Performs, integrates analytical and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
Manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) 787 Airframe Team is seeking Mechanical & Structural Engineering Managers (Level K) to join our Wing, Wing Edges, or Empennage Life Cycle Product Teams (LCPT)in North Charleston, SC.
As the Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of analysis engineers supporting the 787 Aircraft Systems or Payloads. The statement of work will include future design, factory and fleet support, as well as interaction with the supply chain.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, servant-minded leader who fosters a positive, collaborative work environment through clear communication, mentoring, and coaching. They will effectively manage multiple concurrent initiatives including both short and long-term assignments, build strong cross-functional relationships and promote a culture of engineering excellence and safety. What You Will Do- Perform Systems Engineering activities with a focus on integration and test (SI&T) functions in support of the Multi-Function Radio Frequency System (MFRFS) product line for the Ku Band Radio Frequency System (KuRFS) tactical radar.
- Review requirements to develop test objectives and success criteria for verification.
- Develop, review, and execute test plans and test procedures supporting test objectives.
- Conduct radar systems and software tests independently and analyze results to assess performance, functionality, and compliance.
- Trace and/or correct faults in mechanical or electronic systems. Familiarity with failure reporting, analysis, corrective action and/or fault tree analysis
- Travel up to 25% in support of integration and test activities, with trips up to three weeks at remote test sites required.

The DM identifies, with help from the Program Office, the appropriate preparers, receive the data within PDM, reviews the data for compliance, solicits and secures appropriate programmatic approval and delivers the information to the customer on time, throughout the lifecycle of the contract.
In addition, DMs are responsible for reviewing sub-tier contractor requirements, building data tracks for supplier submissions, receiving data from various suppliers, and routing for approval and/or incorporation into prime contractor deliverables to the customer as well as securing non-deliverable program work products to be configuration controlled in the PDM system and other related tasking.

What You Will Do
- Reading contracts for understanding of the deliverables
- Working in a PDM system to capture, manage, and track data deliverables and/or receivables
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams to obtain requested data
- Proofreading data for compliance to the requirement(s)

- Running forecast reports and providing them to the appropriate stakeholders
- Providing metrics related to on-time deliveries and outstanding dispositions upon request

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
