After OR cases (dependent on patient volume) would provide CVICU coverage with 2 other dedicated CVICU APPs.Position Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient care. Counsel patients about concerns under the direction of the supervising physician(s).

- Assist in the operating room. Vein Harvest experience required.

UHS is growing and we are seeking a full time Day/Night Rotating Shifts- Physician Assistant (PA) in our Trauma Department to help with our expansion in the Trauma APP services to 24/7. This position will train for approximately six (6) months ? 12 hour shifts- working seven (7) days every two (2) weeks. The position will work at our Wilson Medical Center. We are seeking either experienced or newly graduated PAs, or motivated or experienced critical care or surgical nurse practitioners with RNFA certification candidates in our Trauma Center.
The Trauma Advanced Practice Provider (Trauma APP) coordinates clinical management of trauma patients throughout the continuum of care in collaboration with the attending trauma surgeon. The Trauma APP collaborates with the entire interdisciplinary trauma team ensuring continuity of high-quality care, family support, implementation of best practices and timely provision of clinical services. Minimum requirements: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program; current NYS license; BLS for Healthcare Provider, ACLS and PALS Provider; ATLS certification (within 6 months of hire); Demonstration of clinical decision-making skills. Ability to effectively communicate with medical staff, healthcare clinicians, patients, families and the public; Strong computer skills; Ability to establish priorities and complete activities independently or with limited supervision.

Primary Responsibilities Follow Master Batch Records for the manufacturing of controlled, oral solid dose (OSD) and other dosage forms when required.
Prepare raw materials, blends, and bulk accountability throughout manufacturing processes.
Performs weight checks for incoming and dispensed materials ensuring compliance with established procedures.
Operates scales including set-up, verification, leveling and challenging.
Identify, report, and resolve quality issues.
Safely and in compliance with batch records and SOPs, set up, operate, and clean manufacturing equipment (oral solid dose manufacturing may include rotor sieves, granulators, blenders, coaters, encapsulators, compression machines, etc.).
Perform in-process testing and inspections as required by Master Batch Record (weighing, tablet thickness, tablet hardness, friability, visual inspection, etc.).
Clean and sanitize manufacturing rooms including walls, floors, and ceilings per SOPs.
Report accidents and unsafe conditions or unusual circumstances to supervisor.
Complete accurate and timely documentation.
Follow good documentation practices in accordance with GMP.
Actively participate in Production team and Site communication meetings.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance; work overtime as required.
Support GMP investigations and events.
Identify and report potential GMP impacting situations.
Contribute to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) writing in your technical area.
Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent.
Up to three years pharmaceutical industry experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education, demonstrated mechanical skill, and experience in a similar industry.

- Managing ventilation and airways by assisting with artificial airway placement, initiating and adjusting invasive and noninvasive ventilation, monitoring patient responses, and responding quickly to clinical changes or emergencies.
- Supporting patients and the care team by educating patients and families, serving as a clinical resource, partnering with physicians and nurses, and helping stabilize newborns during deliveries when needed.
- Maintaining equipment and safety by setting up, operating, and cleaning respiratory equipment; ensuring readiness and preventive maintenance; transporting ventilated patients safely; and following all infection-prevention standards.
