This postdoctoral opportunity brings together faculty from UC Berkeley's School of Education (BSE); the College of Computing, Data Science, and Society (CDSS); and the Social Science D-Lab to support one (1) postdoctoral scholar as they study the teaching and learning of Data Science. Scholars will apprentice with multiple projects to develop and contribute expertise and scholarship in ethical data science teaching and learning across precollege, 2-year college, and 4-year university contexts. A major goal is to prepare scholars who are conversant across sectors, in order to help create coherent and supportive data science learning trajectories for all students.

We seek applicants with complementary relevant skill-sets and training in data science and education. This includes applicants with different educational backgrounds (e.g. research, regional, or liberal arts colleges; technical and community colleges), methodologies (e.g. qualitative and quantitative approaches to social sciences research), and experiences related to teaching or educational research (e.g. tutoring, teaching, curriculum development). We hope scholars will all share commitments to contributing high-quality, ethical Data Science Education teaching, curriculum, and scholarship. Duties & Responsibilities

The Data Integration team sits in the middle of ADUSA's Analytics business and IT teams. We bridge the gap by analyzing the business requirements, creating Tech intake forms and facilitating the deliverables within the IT team. This team also acts as Product Managers for the Agile squads that consist of developers and QA team members. As a Co-op, you will sharpen your SQL skills by working with data solutions that span grocery banners, implementing and optimizing views, creating custom tables, data connections and functions. Learn how to evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions. You will get exposure to business thinking through working closely with other analysts, managers, and executives across our banners. Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions, from reporting to advanced data modeling. You will also effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management. Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or related field) preferred; equivalent manufacturing experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
• 5+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing or industrial operations
• At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Proven experience in technical troubleshooting within complex manufacturing environments

Technical & Functional Skills

• Solid understanding of OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations
• Strong knowledge of chemical process principles, instrumentation, and manufacturing systems
• Experience with process control systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA) and data visualization tools
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office

Leadership & Professional Skills

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to influence across all levels

Overview: The Data Analyst for the Patient Assistance Program (PAP), supporting GPAP’s data transformation and governance, will be instrumental in building and maintaining the backbone of automated reporting and KPI dashboards. This role ensures a single source of truth for GPAP operations, drives analytics innovation, and supports the integration and consistency of data across the program. You’ll collaborate closely with workstream leaders, lead in bi-weekly scrum sessions, and deliver insight-rich, timely outputs for senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, automate, and maintain standardized PAP reporting, KPI dashboards, and ad hoc analytics tools using Tableau, Excel, and Snowflake.

• Lead twice-weekly Scrum sessions with workstream team members, ensuring progression of data tasks, intake of new data requests, and alignment on analytics approaches in a Smart Sheet-driven, agile environment.

• Ensure data consistency, quality, and accuracy across all platforms, supporting GPAP governance and the creation/control of the 'source of truth.'

• Enable and facilitate self-service dashboards and reporting marts for internal and external stakeholders.

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners (BTS, ACA, GPAP, Steer Co) to support program data needs, forecasting, and reporting methodologies.

• Support quarterly and weekly reporting processes—including application, shipment, and claim-level analytics.

• Partners with data lead to document extraction methods, automate/accelerate reporting, and track program impacts, escalations, and business intelligence.

• Identify new opportunities for advanced analytics or insights to increase PAP operational efficiency and program sustainability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in a relevant field (Analytics, IT, Business, Data Science, or related)

• 3-5 years’ experience in data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence in healthcare, pharma, or related industry

• Advanced proficiency in Tableau and Excel; experience with Smart Sheet and Snowflake (SQL skills required)

• Demonstrated experience leading agile meetings (scrum/project management preferred)

• Strong attention to detail, data integrity, and quality control
