About the Position
Are you a new CDL graduate looking for truck driver training? Drive with J.B. Hunt's Apprenticeship Program and receive on-the-job training and experience with an industry leader.
Drivers in this program work with an experienced J.B. Hunt driver trainer for six weeks before transitioning to a full-time driving position upon successful completion. Drivers will earn $200 per day per day during the training period and transition to an hourly rate for all hours worked plus an activity-based bonus payment after training is complete.
$18.00 per hour
Holiday pay: $140 per day
Activity-Based Bonus Components:
Cent per mile rate: $0.39-$0.41
Dry van pay:
$20 per stop
Flatbed pay: $22 per stop
RLC stop: $5 per stop
Shop run:
$67 per event
Safety training: $15 per hour
Equipment shuttling: $22 plus $0.58-$0.60 per mile per event
Drivers in this position over the last six to twelve months have averaged annualized earnings of $70,000

Reporting to the Paint Supervisor, this positions primary responsibilities are to produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies for OEM and SCAG product and loading and unloading parts from the paint line. This person may perform quality issues and notify supervisor and/or resolve quality issues. Team work, housekeeping and organizing is important for this role. Availability on 1st Shift.
Responsibilities
* Confirm job order and material selections. Report any packaging shortages.
* Tape and mask parts as required for coating.
* Use correct hangers to hang parts correctly on conveyer. Hang parts uniform for cleaning and powder painting.
* Assist with desk assembly on line and assemble tread plates, when needed
* Remove parts from racks after oven cure.
* Inspect coated parts for coating thickness using approved gauges.
* Keep paint hooks clean and in good working order; organize the area as needed.
* Responsible for filling out and managing all production, and quality documentation as required.
* Rack fenders with material handler when unloading line.
* Follow instructions to package parts to avoid damage in proper containers and on proper racks.
* Follow all company rules, policies and regulations.
* Report quality concerns to line leader, manager or QC department.
* Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards, using proper PPE and load weight limitations.
* Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
* Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
* Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
* Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
