Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Operational Software Deployment & Integration Engineer (Level 3) to join our Phantom Works team in Berkeley, MO.
The Operational Software Deployment & Integration Engineer supports field deployment and integration activities while maintaining strong alignment with lab and development teams in St. Louis. This role provides surge capacity, technical depth, and sustainment engineering to ensure smooth transition of releases into operational environments.
Position Responsibilities
- Support on-site software installations, upgrades, and patch validation.
- Assist in system checkout and verification events.
- Validate environment parity between lab and field deployments.
- Reproduce field defects within lab environments for root cause analysis.
- Capture logs, telemetry, and system state data to support diagnostics.
- Support cybersecurity hardening and compliance validation efforts.
- Collaborate closely with Integration & Test teams in St. Louis.
- Validate release packages prior to deployment.
- Ensure configuration consistency across lab and operational environments.
- Support continuous improvement of deployment automation and DevSecOps pipelines.
Travel may be required up to 25% of the time; Domestically and/or internationally depending on business needs.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

The team is responsible for developing integration test assets, real-time software test environments, subsystem/system testing, and evaluating system performance in simulation lab environment. Develop electrical schematics and designs for cabling, test hardware, and/or test stations
Select components for hardware designs and support the procurement and fabrication of hardware designs

You will lead the development, integration, verification, and delivery of System Health models and comprehensive health-management capabilities that ensure safe and reliable mission execution. This role encompasses systems engineering, RAM (reliability, availability, and maintainability) modeling, supplier collaboration, and cross-disciplinary leadership.
Position Responsibilities
- Lead the technical team to design, develop, test, and deliver Integrated Health Management (IHM) and System Health models using Reliability, Availability, Maintainability & Cost (RAMC) tools and best practices.
- Translate customer requirements into compliant system-level health architectures and verification plans.
- Drive systems-of-systems trades and analyses to optimize system health, reliability, maintainability, availability and lifecycle cost.
- Coordinate and verify supplier deliverables (models, test evidence, requirements traceability) and lead supplier technical reviews.

The individual will be the primary academic contact for a set of client departments.
Cover areas such as academic recruitment, appointment, and advancement; compensation and salary administration; welfare programs; visa procurement; benefits; payroll; training and development; academic personnel misconduct; equity; labor and employee relations issues.
Resolve moderate to complex academic personnel and HR-related issues affecting a broad range of academic titles in imaginative and practical ways.
Serve as the primary academic contact for a set of client departments.
Requirements: HR Generalist experience, including employee lifecycle management (onboarding, managing payroll, employment issues, offboarding, etc.).
Experience in an Academic/University setting.
Required Skills: Experienced professional with in-depth understanding of the professional field.
Ability to independently perform the full range of responsibilities within the function.
Possesses broad job knowledge and can analyze problems/issues of diverse scope to determine solutions.
