UNC Hospitals Rehabilitation Services is accepting applications for a full-time Acute Care Physical Therapist I position.
Supporting our Enhanced Rehabilitation program in the acute hospital setting, the PT I will provide comprehensive consultations and therapeutic interventions to a diverse patient population with varying acuity levels.
This person will collaborate directly with the interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient-centered care, facilitating functional improvement and discharge planning throughout care transitions.
The selected candidate will serve as a stakeholder, assisting in the implementation and sustainment of unit-based care team models to optimize patient care outcomes and best practices.
Excellent time management and communication skills are required for this fast-paced environment; clinical experience in acute care is strongly preferred.

Summary: This is professional level work involving the evidence- based evaluation of patient disabilities, planning, and administration of physical therapy treatments.

Responsibilities: 1.
Diagnostic Testing
- Administers basic & complex diagnostic tests and evaluations in the area of Physical Therapy for the treatment of mobility disorders and related impairments 2.
Education
- Teach & supervise graduate Physical Therapy students and/or clinical fellows/residents.
Develops or contributes to innovative programs to enhance patient care.
Serves as resource consultant to other clinicians in respective specialty area.

- Analyzes results of diagnostic and or therapeutic testing to establish patient goals and or modify subsequent treatment programs.
Identifies expected patient outcomes.
Communicates relevant information to promote continuity of care.

Implementation Selects and applies current and advanced techniques to provide quality and efficient rehabilitative services.
Provides habilitation/rehabilitation and maintenance of persons with mobility related impairments.
Organizes and prioritizes care according to patient/family needs.

Outreach/Community Involvement-Serves as resource to North Carolina government departments and statewide health professionals in specialty areas.
Presents at local (university/hospital) or state level, participates in community health screening and events.
Participates in the development of new clinical programs to meet emerging needs in conjunction with the clinical specialist and/or department director.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Help residents with mobility: transferring, repositioning, ambulation, use of mobility aids as needed.
- Take and record residents' vital signs (e.g. temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration) and monitor for changes in condition.
- Serve meals and assist with feeding residents who need help; monitor and record intake and output as required.
- Provide basic room care: change bed linens, maintain clean, safe, and sanitary resident rooms and common areas.
- Assist with incontinence care, toileting, and maintaining resident dignity and comfort.
- Observe residents' physical and emotional status; provide companionship and emotional support; alert supervising nurse to any changes or concerns.
- Communicate with residents, families/POAs, and the care team about resident needs, status, and any observed changes.
- Follow all facility policies including infection control, safety procedures, and resident confidentiality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Connecticut CNA certification.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Compassionate, resident-centered attitude; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, turn, move, and assist residents - including bending, standing, walking, and some heavy lifting - as required by resident care.
- Comfortable working in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment; previous experience preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional mobility activities.
- Monitor residents’ responses to therapy and promptly report changes to the Physical Therapist.
- Educate residents and families on exercises, techniques, and use of assistive devices.
- Document daily treatments, progress notes, and outcomes accurately and timely in accordance with regulatory and company standards.

Qualifications

Job Purpose
Product Planner I is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting market trends and conditions within the Powersports & Products industry to identify factors that may impact future products. Serving as the voice of the customer, this role involves conducting comprehensive market and product research, as well as in-depth market analysis, to generate actionable insights. These insights support model strategy and lifecycle planning, sales planning, and model specific planning activities leading up to development.
Key Accountabilities
- Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Powersports & Products industry, including product line-ups of Honda and its core competitors. This includes in-depth knowledge of product types, features, and related technologies.

Job PurposeReliability Development Engineers are responsible for validating the body and/or chassis strength, durability, and marketability to meet Honda’s internal requirements and model specific targets with a goal of meeting or exceeding Honda and Acura customer expectations. You will be in charge of delivering full vehicle computational and testing results for body and/or chassis systems with available guidance as you continue to expand your technical knowledge and deepen your expertise in automotive development.
Key Accountabilities- Produce and analyze engineering data using pre-set tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
- Responsible for planning, preparing, and coordinating various aspects of exterior performance tests including arrangement of facilities, requesting technician support, and acquiring testing materials.
- Physically support tests including confirmation that test setups are correct and that test plans are understood and executed to intent.
- Prepare moderately complex documentation for review by technical leadership to record and submit all necessary development / testing / research information per the determined schedule.

Job Preview
The Pelvic Health Physical Therapist evaluates and treats pelvic floor dysfunction - including incontinence, pelvic pain, and pre/postpartum care. In doing so, evaluates, plans, and implements therapeutic programs including prevention, identification, correction and alleviation of acute or prolonged movement dysfunction of anatomic or physiological origin. May train therapy Assistants, Support Staff and others as requested, orient students, delegate most of the patient load and provide coverage in most of the department’s clinical areas. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive evaluations of pelvic floor, hips, spine, and abdomen to create a treatment plan.
- Analyzes evaluation results and sets appropriate short- and long-term goals consistent with treatment plan.
- Selects, administers, and monitors treatment such as modalities, therapeutic exercise, transfers, gait training, and other functional mobility training.
- Determines appropriate assistive devices to develop functional mobility skills. Instructs patient and/or family in care and use of the equipment.
- Reassesses patients’ response to treatment, adjusts program accordingly, and coordinates treatment with patients, families, physical therapist assistants, and other health care disciplines, and communicates treatment changes to physician as appropriate.
- Recommends other disciplines, programs, agencies, and equipment to patient and/or family, as appropriate.
- Schedules and coordinates treatment with the physical therapy staff and other disciplines.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation including evaluations, re-evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, daily treatment records, staffing reports, billing records and related material.
- Plans and documents appropriate home programs. Instructs patients and patients’ families in appropriate continued exercise or therapy programs and in use of therapy techniques and assistive devices.
- Participates in discharge planning with physicians, nursing and social services personnel to ensure patients have appropriate assistance and continuation of rehabilitation at home or in other care setting.
- Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by reading appropriate books, journals and other literature and attending related conferences, seminars and the like. Attends mandatory department, Medical Complex meetings, and other work-related educational programs.
- Develops and maintains a positive working relationship with department and Medical Complex personnel, patients, students, and outside agencies.
- Supports and is involved in the Medical Complex’s continuous quality improvement efforts designed to increase patient outcomes, increase patient satisfaction, and improve the utilization of the Hopedale Medical Complex’s human, capital, and physical resources.
- Assists the Director in recommending, implementing and communicating policies and procedures within the Rehabilitation Department and Support Services. Recommends new or revised procedures and practices to increase the effectiveness of services in accordance with Hopedale Medical Complex accreditation and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- The Physical Therapist is required to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the age of the patients served on their assigned unit(s). This requires that the incumbent demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotional, and psycho-social needs of the patient population served.
- Specialized training or certifications in pelvic health required.
- Work requires a profession level of knowledge of anatomy and physiology and physical therapy treatments and modalities at a level normally acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
- Current State license (or eligible for license) as a Physical Therapist.
- Work requires approximately one to two years progressively responsible related experience necessary to gain a thorough knowledge of physical therapy techniques and in order to delegate care efficiently and effectively and to provide patient care coverage in most of the department’s clinical areas in order to train and orient students, volunteers, and new employees.
- Work requires the interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and patients’ families when providing treatments and to instruct in use of therapeutic devices, treatment methods and home programs, with other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information, and to train employees and oversee work of students, when appropriate.
- Work requires analytical ability to evaluate patients’ physical and functional status, establish therapy goals, formulate treatment plans consistent with goals, and observe patients and document progress, and assisting techs and assistants in resolving problems, when appropriate.

General Description
Performs advanced professional and supervisory engineering work in the design and review of a wide variety of engineering and environmental projects.
Works under administrative supervision, developing and implementing programs within organizational policies and reports major activities to executive level administrators through conferences and reports.
Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsRequires a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in civil engineering.
Requires six (6) years progressively responsible experience in professional engineering work related to roadway design and construction or closely related field, including two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Special Certifications and LicensesPossess and maintain Professional Engineer License in State of Florida for duration of assignment.
