The typical pay range for this role is:
$60.58 - $101.54This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

The Senior Retail Pharmacist (VSP/PT) compounds and dispenses medications and other pharmaceuticals. The Senior Retail Pharmacist (VSP/PT) work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
The Staff Retail Pharmacist (Regional Support Pharmacist) duties are included but not limited to:
All aspects of dispensing prescriptions as well as providing immunizations.
Preparing and maintaining all necessary records on prescriptions, patient charges and inventory.

You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a plasma donor screener and perform phlebotomy to support plasma center operations.
How you will contribute:
- You will answer phones, and greet and focus on our donors, while ensuring the safety of donors and our team.
- You will screen new and repeat donors and take and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
- You will use our Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.

Job Summary:
The Pharmacist is responsible for appropriate, evidence based, medication use for the institution. They ensure patients get the right medication at the right dose. Pharmacists must have a medication safety viewpoint and be in compliance with all applicable standards and regulations (TJC, BOP, CMS, etc). Pharmacists oversee the activities of pharmacy technicians. Pharmacists must engage in teaching as part of the hospital's mission.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Provides clinical pharmaceutical care to patients. Prevents, detects, and resolves medication-related problems and makes appropriate evidence-based, patient-centered medication therapy recommendations. Participates as an effective member of interdisciplinary care team(s) and communicates follow-up with team. Effectively verifies patient medication orders for appropriateness and accuracy. Provides effective medication education to patients, families, team.
Enhances the quality of delivery of care. Actively participates in the development and implementation of performance/quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, including medication event/adverse reaction reporting & follow-up, clinical guideline development, disease management, medication use evaluation/improvement, cost containment actions. Represents pharmacy services on institutional/practice area committees, quality unit councils. Conducts monthly unit inspections of assigned area.
Demonstrates proficiency in pharmacy distributive services. Demonstrates quality, safety and efficiency in the distribution process. Actively collaborates and demonstrate teamwork with pharmacy coworkers to ensure communication, excellent customer service, safe and effective drug distribution. Provides oversight for pharmacy technicians. Participates in opportunities to improve the quality, effectiveness, and/or efficiency in distributing medications.
Supports the education and professional development of the Pharmacy Department and other hospital disciplines (nursing/medical/etc.). Precepts residents, pharmacy students, or pharmacy technicians as assigned. Participates colloquially in the development of new programs, services, and practices, educational activities of the pharmacy department and medical team.

The Pharmacy Technician assists the pharmacist in the provision of pharmaceutical care to all patients of Carle Foundation Hospital, Kirby and Hoopeston Hospitals, and all Carle Enterprise locations that might use medications. Perform technical tasks such as filing, compounding, reconstitution, labeling, and delivery.

Responsibilities
Accurately and safely prepare and label chemotherapy drugs for administration. PRN Technicians are not required to complete this task Accurately fill and deliver Omnicell restock lists. Assist in developing and maintaining training materials as needed. Assist in special projects not requiring clinical decision-making capacity as assigned by the Director. Enter and process new prescriptions and refills. Fill medication orders in an accurate and timely manner, including new or lost doses, floor stock replacement items, unit dose cart, outpatient and take-home prescriptions. Perform miscellaneous billing functions, including patient charging and crediting, nursing unit charges, and controlled substance charging through manual entry into the computer, or with bar code reader. Perform miscellaneous non-sterile compounding. Perform monthly inspection of assigned nursing units and pharmacy area for expired or otherwise unusable drugs, and provide proper storage and accurate inventory. Prepare IV products using aseptic technique and applying proper labeling. PRN Technician‘s are not required to complete this task Prepare parenteral nutrition solutions, provide pertinent laboratory information to the pharmacist when assigned. PRN Technicians are not required to complete this task Prepare various batch IV products to support patient care needs utilizing the batch compounder as appropriate. PRN Technicians are not required to complete this task Prepares and delivers enteral nutritional supplements to patient care areas. Maintains enteral records and billing functions. Provide services to the Operating Room staff from the OR medication room. Refers customers and calls to a pharmacist when appropriate. Restock and replace various trays and kits used throughout the facility.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $18.89per hour - $30.6per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
