A caregiver in this position works 11:00am to 8:00pm out of orientation and then 8:00am to 4:00pm on every third weekend as well as potential floating to provide coverage.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Collect and document objective and subjective data and observations about patients.
  • Complete nursing assessments and report all data.
  • Implement the current nursing care plan, medication or treatment and communicate patients' responses.
  • Observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Graduate of an approved school of Practical Nursing

Responsibilities

The Hemodialysis Technician functions as an interdisciplinary team member to meet patient and family care needs within the Mayo Clinic Dialysis Services (MCDS) system. The Clinical Research Coordinator (“CRC”) monitors data management and regulatory aspects of clinical-trial operations and will ensure that research is conducted in accordance with the sponsor’s protocol, FDA Regulations, and ICH/GCP guidelines. The CRC will also ensure that the data provided to the sponsor are of the highest quality and that study enrollment meets or exceeds the sponsor’s expectations. Required Qualifications Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California, in good standing.

Experience working with vulnerable populations, including individuals with histories of trauma, homelessness, substance use disorders, serious mental illness, or socioeconomic stress.

Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Comfort working autonomously in community-based and outreach settings.

Experience using data to track outcomes and measure performance.

Basic computer proficiency, including email, spreadsheets, and electronic documentation.

Valid California Driver’s License and proof of auto liability insurance meeting state of California minimum requirements.

Knowledge and applied practice of HIPAA compliance and healthcare regulations.

Preferred Qualifications Bilingual in English and Spanish.
