Job Description Summary: This position ensures delivery of evidence-based practice by professional nursing personnel and other staff in designated areas of responsibility.

He/She plans, organizes, directs and evaluates the unit's delivery of evidence-based patient care in a cost-effective manner, providing leadership and clinical management to members of the health care team.

He/She participates in integration of the Nursing Philosophy along with the mission, vision, values, goals and objectives of OhioHealth in unit operations.

Responsibilities And Duties: 50% Patient Care: 1.

Assists the Manager in accountability for ongoing delivery of patient care in area(s) of responsibility; assures application of the nursing process by Registered Nurses in the clinical setting (assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation); assures documentation of patient care in the medical record.

Addresses concerns and resolves problems.

Uses data from various sources to initiate continuous quality improvement within the department/unit.

Coordinates nursing care in collaboration with other healthcare disciplines and assists in integrating services across the continuum of health care.

Ensures nursing practice in a safe environment.

Participates in process improvement activities and root cause analysis investigations.

General Description
The pulmonary hypertension nurse will support our pulmonary providers in Clinic 2F2G. This nurse independently plans and provides professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders and established policies and procedures. Provides nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Collaborates with members of the health care team to enhance patient care by developing, supporting and educating nursing staff. General Description of the Job Class

Under the direct supervision of a certified technologist, perform a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of medical imaging exams and procedures. This role supports individuals who have passed their primary ARRT certification and are pursuing post-primary certification.

Duties and Responsibilities of this Level

  • Perform specialized tasks associated with the operation of imaging equipment and related devices in accordance with prescribed safety procedures.
  • Position patients for imaging exams using appropriate positioning devices and protective equipment.
  • Conduct exams accurately per established protocols, policy, and patient safety standards.
  • Assist certified technologists and radiologists with imaging exams procedures, including patient preparationand contrast administration.
  • Evaluate images for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure, and appropriately label and transmit to the Image Archival System.
  • Schedule patients for exams and procedures; assist with clerical functions.Charge exams, procedures, and supplies in the EHR.
  • Dispense and/or order contrast for imaging exams, if applicable.

Education:

Level II- Candidates must be actively enrolled in a structured educational program and have completed at least 750 clinical hours or one-half of the

required competencies or clinical hours required for certification; whichever is greater.

Level III Candidates must be actively enrolled in a structured educational program and have completed at

least 2,000 clinical hours or three-quarters of the required competencies or clinical hours for certification, whichever is greater.

Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification:
